KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Shell Deflector
The custom-designed KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Kydex Shell Deflector effectively deflects brass and gases away from the shooter's face. This brass deflector ensures empty shell casings are redirected consistently, making them easier to collect.
The shell deflector cutout is delivered flat. To achieve a custom fit for the SUB-2000, simply heat the Kydex in an oven at 300 degrees for 3-4 minutes until it's warm. Once heated, shape it to your SUB-2000 for a perfect fit.

Time will tell
I haven't had a chance to see how it works yet. A bit challenging to get formed before it cools down. It should be shipped out pre-formed. It would save the customer a lot of time.

Shell Deflector
I am a lefty, so I purchased the shell deflector. I also purchased a heat gun and slowly heated the deflector up at the locations where it needed to bend. As it became pliable, I lined up the bolt holes and inserted them. I then reheated the deflector to mold it to the correct shape, and it turned out perfectly. I highly recommend using a heat gun so you can control the heating process and avoid burning the deflector.
She’ll deflector
I heated mine to temp and time stated on instructions and it shrunk so much that it would not even reach over to both screw holes rendering it useless. Money wasted on this one as it is trash now. I Hate to buy another, but maybe if heated to half temp and time it would work I don’t know. Was really looking forward to it since I am a lefty and blowback is awful from the sub2000 for a lefty.
Not compatible with sight mount for lefties.
I agree with all the great reviews for this. Just want to add that with the MCARBO sight mount for lefties (mounts on right side of gun) you won't be able to fold your rifle.
first thing everyone needs is this gadget
if you dont have this on your sub 2000 you should dig a hole in the yard and bury it. this is a must have item for all sub2000 owners. this rifle punishes lefty shooters without this deflector. i wouldnt shoot one without this little gem
Will my sub 2000 fold and latch with the shell deflector installed? Thanks
