Needs the sear spring
As others have commented, the striker spring kit might help. It did drop my gen1 P938 from 7 to 6 lbs. Ok. Ho-hum.
The bigger change is to (nearly) flatten the sear spring... not unlike a 1911. This mod dropped the pull to a clean 4lbs.
I am hoping MCarbo re-releases the thin, sear spring like before so everyone can buy a drop in spring that corrects the P938/P238's heavy trigger pull.
P238 trigger failure
I have bought MCARBO products in the past and found them all to be excellent.
Sorry to say this kit was a dud. It was an easy install but did nothing for the trigger.
if anything, it is slightly worse. Started at b5.5 lbs., now closer to 6. Don't understand but it certainly
didn't help. I may put the original springs back in.
Didn't work
I have purchase various trigger reduction pull kits from Macabre previously and polished the internal parks and it has reduced my trigger pull but unfortunately this kit didn't change the trigger pull still over 5lbs just where I started. Very disappointing.

P938 Gen2
Installed spring kit in my legion, don’t have a pull gauge but I believe I got a least a one pound reduction. Shot 100 rounds with no issues, gun works perfectly.
Sig Sauer Trigger Kit
The kit arrived promptly and were in perfect shape. After viewing the installing video, I was able to install the trigger kit within a very reasonable time. Took the P938 to the range and had no problems with the P938 and was very well pleased with the performance. There was a considerable difference in the trigger pull which made shooting the P938 much more pleasurable experience. Put 50 rounds through the P938 with no problems noted.
Thanks helping me solve a problem.
Sig Sauer P238 / P938 Trigger Spring Kit [MCARBO]
SWEEET!!! The installation video was excellent and when it came do the install it took all of about 25 minutes. The kit price is amazingly low compared to other gun type kits. The Sig P238 is my wife's carry gun and after I finished I handed her to gun and when she pulled the trigger her eyes lit up, her quote was "what did you do to it?" Just changed springs was my reply. At the range a close friend, who carries the same gun shot it and said give me the link. If you own a Sig P238/P938 tis is a great kit. Trigger pull on mine went from 6.5 Lbs. to 4.35.
Excellent Improvement & Video Instruction
Quick and especially enjoyable experience with Mcarbo products. The pistols I've used their products in are especially smoother actions and improve accuracy as a direct result. Very pleased with products and instructional videos!
I am interested in the Sig P238 spring kit, but don't know how to determine if my Sig P238 is a Gen 1 or whatever? How can I determine that? Thanks!

i am interested in the spring kit for 938 gen 1with the sear spring .i would appreciate notification when ther available
I don't belive we ever had one with a sear spring
If I use the Gen 1 spring kit on the Gen 2 P238 how will it affect the trigger? I'd be happy with a 4-5lb trigger. It's currently 7lbs.
I'm sorry for our delayed response here in Q&A section! You may still see a slight reduction, though it will not be as drastic as advertised for the Gen 1 models. I would also recommend you polish any contact surface areas to help smooth out the function!
Any updates on the Gen2 trigger spring kit availability? Hoping you'll be getting some in soon...
