I love the sub-2000, but Like all rifles I had a few issues with it. The rear sight was my biggest issue. It's made out of plastic, I felt that I had to position my head lower then I should have to, and the peep hole size was too small for the range I wanted to be shooting this rifle with. This parts solves all these issues and more. The install was easy, and I definitely recommend using the 242 locktight like they suggest. This part keeps the the two parts of the rifle together when folding and unfolding the rifle. You may find your gun in two pieces if the screw and shaft manages backs out. As you would expect, I had to zero out the iron sights after the upgrade. I found I was shooting higher then before I changed the sights. I didn't see any issue with this part after 100 rounds. Nothing felt loose, deformed, or broken. Also, neither screws backed out with the help of the 242 locktight. I also found that I was slightly quicker to acquire the target with the iron sights. I felt this was due to the bigger peep hole size. My only complaint is that this part is not designed to pop up when unfolding the rifle. I did manage to find a sweet spot where I could tighten the screws to where it will pop up 9/10 times, and still be able to flip the sights down if needed. If I didn't mange to find that sweet spot, I would have probably rated this part 4/5 stars.

Just went to the range today to see if this sight worked as good as it looked after the install. In a word- YES. I chose the notch style and am able to pick up the sights much easier, not to mention I don't get a crick in my neck after 20 or 30 rounds. Almost forgot- the install was super easy after watching the M*Carbo video (and I have the gen 1 2000). Thanks again guys, and keep up the good work!
This is light years better than stock. Folds out of the way for my red dot, yet instantly available if needed. Very sturdy, well made part.

Very happy with the Mcarbo metal sight. From the pictures the notch sight looks to sit just a bit higher than the ghost ring sight so that is what I chose and I am happy I did. Cheek welds like any common AR now. This is how it should have come from the factory. As others have noted you can adjust the tension so it auto deploys, a nice bonus for those of us not running red dots. I gave it 4 stars because what I really wanted was a cheap aftermarket taller rear sight. Something in the $35 range or less. I don't care about the fold down feature at all and would have been just fine with plastic. Even with 10% off this feels a little spendy for such a cheap firearm. PS Mcarbo does 20% and free shipping pretty regularly. They also ship 10% codes with many of their products. Definitely adds up on more expensive items like this one.
