Started out with 7 lb trigger pull. Kit reduced it to a much more manageable 4.5 lbs. Cleaned trigger assy with "gunk out" and lubed with CLP but couldn't get below 4.5 lbs. Great improvement, though!
i had my doughts but the more i thought about it i said i will give it a try and what the hell it worked like knight and day much better trigger
The lighter (2.5 lb.) Sks sear spring definitely improved my shooting experience. The YouTube video is great for first timers like myself. My sear spring retainer was a challenge to remove but with a little patience and a bigger hammer, I was able to successfully replace the OEM spring.I am definitely a supporter of MCARBO and their products!
As a former USMC veteran I am extremely pleased with your efficiency getting parts out as fast as you did. You surprised me, I can't thank you guys enough.
After installing the 2.5 lb spring in my Norinco SKS it is so much nicer to shoot. Before, the long trigger pull and the stock spring led to what I consider way too much time to simply squeeze off a shot. I thought it affected focus and breathing resulting in increased difficulty. The new spring has relieved all that. A huge improvement for a small amount of work. Thanks!
Changing the spring was quick and easy. There is a notable reduction in trigger pull. Accuracy improved now that I am not fighting the trigger. Low cost, easy installation and positive results.
This product is a definite improvement for my Chinese SKS. Best deal for the money. A must for anyone owning an SKS. Very easy to install.
Hay MCARBO AND BROTHERHOOD a follow up to my can you put the sprin on A Norinco SKS M / SKS D these are the AK mag fed SKS rifles due to the mag release being an ak mag release this modification is doable but vertualy impossible I spent the last 5 hours trying to get my trigger group back together reason one being you have to removed the Mag release to get to the spring the mag release is pind and the pin if flared or beveled to keep it in place so if you manage to drift that out you have to shave down the bevel to put the pin back in. After you have done all that you got to put the mag release back together I had to dremmal the pin holes bigger to allow some give just to get the pin back in then I had to fight the spring back into place and alighne the pin spring mag release latch and receiver all together and bang in the pin but after 5 hours and 5,000 swear words I did it. the trigger is light as hell now and since I had the trigger group together I did polish and sand down the sear to shorten the over travel still got a lot of over travel but much smoother now. All in all id say if you have an AK mag fed SKS don't try this it was worth it but like I said 5 hours of hell to do the job. HOPE THAT HELPS
Changed out the spring and did a little polishing and hammer sear alignment in the process. This makes an unbelievable difference. Complete trigger job with this spring kit is amazing!
Excellent improvement to a long 3 part creep in trigger. Used the 3.5 lb. spring. Will try out 2.5 lb. possibly after test firing if need be. Great job MCARBO!
Just installed my Mcarbo sear spring. The instruction video made the installation easy. Along with a little smoothing on the sear it lowered the nearly 8Lb. pull to about 6.5 lb. A nice improvement.
I bought the two lighter sear springs for my Chinese SKS. I installed the 2.5 lb sear and it's a different rifle now. While I had it apart I did a thorough cleaning and Flitz polish that I learned about through Chris's Ruger 10/22 video. The only snag I had was that the gunmaker bumped the pin in front of the sear spring. It wouldn't budge. If this happens to you here is what I ended up doing: I stuck it tight in a vise and hit a punch until it bent ai filed the circumference of the little bit that the beating gave me. That was enough to drive it out on the other side far enough to clear the spring. Few guns would take that kind of treatment without damage. It did bend the frame in which prevented the mag from seating. I bent my punch back prying the frame open. The sear spring has tightened my groups from the 1st firing in. Great product! Jeff W.
I order this kit and expected to wait for at least a week for it to be delivered..... 3 days later it was here.... When i started my trigger job my group was pulling a nice 4.5 lb which by sks standards was pretty close to perfect, but being a shooter, i wanted better......Once installed, along with a little sear work to clean up the slop, i tested out at a crisp and clean 3.5 lb pull with the heavy spring provided and an exact 2.5 lb pull with the light spring provided.....It just doesnt get any better than that!
This kit really improved the trigger pull on my Yugo. Mush better pull compared to the heavy stock spring. Now it has the pull of my ARs which have a 3 pound pull. Very pleased with end result. Highly recommend this spring kit.
Ordered and received promptly, already installed and works Great, You Guys are Tops!!!
These springs come in two weights and very easy to install
