Review
Installed the PF9 trigger spring kit, Flat trigger, Max 20 lb. recoil spring. All the parts went in relatively easy, no problems. The new trigger is awesome, way better than the plastic curved one. Took to the range a few days later and shot a box of PMC through it and had no problems at all. Ran good.
Everything went pretty smooth on the install thanks to the vid you guys put out. One problem I had with the P-11 was I couldn't use the over travel screw, I had the front screw almost all the way in to get it to function correctly. I may have to glue my eraser back on for over travel. Love the feel of it, my finger doesn't get pinched anymore, I had a piece of electrical tape on it before so I'm happy about that part! Over all I'm a happy camper with the new trigger, I love it! Thanks Guys & Gals!
I purchased a flat trigger for my keltec pf9. The installation was very easy thanks to your how to video on youtube. It is a really nice product. I loved how Mcarbo communicated with me to make sure that the item had arrived. They truly care about the customer. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Thanks
I Have ordered 2 of the keltec pf9 flat triggers easy install just watch video if i can install flat triggers anyone can i highly recommend m*Carbo flat triggers to all
I ordered the following parts for the PF-9 on April 29: 20 pound recoil spring Trigger spring kit Flat trigger SS guide rod Textured grips Bench block Due to unavailability of parts, these parts didn't arrive until Jun 13. All of the parts were installed at one sitting as I didn't want to disassemble the gun more than one time. Following the videos on the MCARBO website, the parts were installed without any problems and the changes in the gun's operation were very noticeable and made the PF-9 much more enjoyable to shoot. The process was easy and enjoyable, but patience and a little mechanical skill are required as some of the parts are very small and reassembly does take a little dexterity and finesse. However, the parts are well made, fit like a glove, and are well worth the time and expense to install on your PF-9. They will definitely improve the weapon.
This old Air Force Veteran is not a "gunsmith", but referring to the excellent, highly detailed video, I was able to install all the trigger upgrade parts in my KelTec PF-9 with no problem. The quality of the parts supplied by M*CARBO was outstanding when compared to the parts that were replaced. My order was filled and shipped incredibly fast and was totally correct. I am pleased to highly recommend and reward M*CARBO a five-star rating for the reasons stated in this review.
I recently upgraded my PF-9 with M*Carbo Spring Kit, Flat Trigger & Stainless Guide Rod. Wow what a difference it made in an already decent shooting gun. I have the trigger adjusted to remove as much take up and over travel as possible and still have it working properly. I highly recommend these parts for your PF-9 especially if you carry it daily as I do.
Very nice upgrade from MCARBO. I went whole hog, guide rod and spring with the new flat trigger and the 3pc spring kit. The install video was spot on. It took me about 45 minutes for the full transformation. Although my trigger kit was missing one of the two adjustment set screws, I'll get with customer service for a replacement. I own several keltec weapons and plan on upgrading them as well. This is the only place for new upgrades and they do it fantastic . I ran three mags check it out and functioned flawlessly. This is my EDC and trust completely. I would love to see some new sight upgrades next...
It's a new pistol now! Replaced the stock guide rod, trigger springs and trigger with your components and it feels like something I might actually enjoy shooting. Bought my PF-9 back in '07 but never really liked it because of the craptastic trigger - horrible shape and way too stiff. Your improved components were simple to install thanks to your excellent, no BS video instruction. A week ago I was looking to sell this gun but decided to give it one last try after stumbling across your website. Now I've got the micro 9 I thought I was getting all those years ago and it's not going anywhere! You have earned an ambassador and a spot among my carefully curated bookmarks.
THIS IS THE 3RD M*CARBO TRIGGER I WILL HAVE INSTALLED. USING M*CARBO PARTS THE KELTEC PF9 IS A FINE CARRY WEAPON.
As my title indicates …. Please Read Above. Installation was fairly easy but I would caution you to pay attention to the details in Chris Nelson’s YT installation video. Especially during the portion of the installation process where the sear must be in the forward position relative to the hammer. I missed this on the first go around and realized quickly that the trigger won’t work! When the aforementioned is done correctly, even the side plate plastic pins secure the module to the plastic frame assembly easier. One other mention, when installing the small trigger over-travel screws … don’t let leave too much of the forward facing screw sticking out or you can get a little finger pinch from this condition. As Chris says in the video, with regard to the forward screw, set it to where you can see no more than 3 screw threads … you’ll be glad that you did. All said, I love the feel of this new trigger and will purchase another for my second PF-9. Thanks MCarbo! God bless.
Installed complete trigger upgrade: trigger, trigger spring, recoil springs and guide rod. On-line video was critical to easy install. Excellent quality on all parts. Only issues were caused by original Kel-Tec rough manufacture, ie firing pin difficult to remove and had to dress up the pin for re-installation. Also, my T-10 torx didn't fit the ejection spring screw. Ditto on previous reviews about length of over/under travel hex tools for trigger adjustments.
I installed this trigger in a Kel-Tec P11. If your comfortable disassembling guns this should be a fairly easy and straightforward install. Allen wrenches are supplied. Aside from that you'll need a few basic tools like punches, a screwdriver, a small hammer, etc. First, THE BAD: Regardless of where I put the overtravel and trigger return set screws I COULD NOT get my gun to function with them installed. The trigger wouldn't reset reliably. I got tired of screwing around with them and just installed the trigger without them. It worked perfectly after that. That is my only complaint. Now, THE GOOD: The trigger is nicely made and finished. The face is very smooth and it doesn't bother me at all to shoot the gun. No rubbing, pinching or other irritations from the trigger. The allen screw that retains the trigger bar spring and the trigger pivot pin as a great upgrade. It was worth the install just for that. Very reasonably priced. Knowing what I now know, however, I doubt I'd buy this trigger again. It's not enough of an improvement over the stock trigger, in my opinion, to make it worthwhile.
Straight trigger = more finger room . What I was looking for. Still have more parts to order before starting trigger job. Looks like excellent parts quality. Excellent web site . How to videos are excellent.
Took my PF9 to the range today and what a difference. I could have shot this all day with this trigger. Thank you Mcarbo. Great job!
I bought my P11 about 20 years ago. It sat mostly unused for a good portion of that time. I recently decided to put it back into service and installed M Carbo's flat trigger and spring upgrade. They both made a huge difference in comfort and trigger pull. I wish I had done this years ago!
