Not worth the frustration
This thing isn’t even in the stratosphere of being worth the frustration. First time in my life that I had to bring any gun, including my sub 2k, to a gunsmith. Need to provide a jig to compress the spring. Infuriating install. I like all my other m carbo products. Despise this piece of trash.
Highly suggested for older shooters
As an older shooter my hands are not as strong as they used to be, this upgraded, American made, quality part is a must have. It's more ergonomic, and allows for more force to be used while eliminating slipping.
great improvment
This is a must have if you have problems racking your stock bolt
Excellent product, easy to install
Worth every penny, especially for older fingers that need that extra leverage. Installation was under 10 minutes and looks better than stock in my opinion. Quality product from a quality business. USN veteran proudly supporting a veteran run company. Keep up the excellent work.
Can’t read revies
Just purchased Gen 2 model and fired 3 times; planning to upgrade but cannot access product reviews so hoping that writing a review will give me access to those?
Non-existent support
The product itself is OK, but the support is non-existent. I needed help with the Sub2000 spring and wanted to know if I could get a price and send the spring assembly for modification by Mcarbo. Total silence even after follow up by phone and opening a support ticket. So, 3 stars for the parts, nothing for the support.
Why I support Mcarbo:
1. They are Combat Veteran owned.
2. They support the Military/LEO’s (I was both)
3. Their components are Detail Engineered
4. Exceptional QUALITY
5. Customer Service is A+++
6. They offer ”How To” detailed videos for most components
7. Fast shipping and Outstanding order communications
Note: Basically I rebuilt my Kel Tec sub 2000, Gen 2
Seems like a solid product but BUY The Gun BLOCK!
Like I said seems like a solid product, but I should have watched the install video before ordering. After about 3 hours both myself and my brothers hands and fingers are numb as hell. Taking a day or two before trying again. If we can't get it then I will probably just buy the block. I will update my review (if I can after we get it installed).
Will this work with the sub 2000 gen 3? Or just gen 1-2?
this will work on a gen 3

What is the cover that adds around $15? Just the double finger handle is really all I want but I don't understand what the push for the cover is about, exactly what it even is, and/or if I really even need it? Could someone please show and explain? Thank you
The cover that adds around $15 to the KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Double Finger Extended Charging Handle is a charging handle cover designed to enhance comfort, safety, and ergonomics when using the charging handle. Here's a breakdown of its purpose and whether you might need it:
What Is the Charging Handle Cover?
Material:
Typically made from rubberized or polymer material, the cover is designed to fit snugly over the charging handle.
Purpose:
Improved Comfort: Reduces the impact on your fingers or hand during operation, especially under heavy recoil or when running the firearm aggressively.
Reduced Heat Transfer: The cover insulates your hand from heat generated during prolonged shooting sessions.
Enhanced Grip: Provides a textured surface for a more secure grip, especially in wet or slippery conditions.
Safety: Prevents accidental slipping during manipulation of the charging handle.
Attachment:
The cover slides or snaps over the charging handle, adding minimal bulk while providing the benefits mentioned above.
Do You Really Need the Cover?
If Comfort Is a Concern:
If you plan on using the charging handle frequently or during extended shooting sessions, the cover can significantly improve comfort by cushioning your grip.
If Heat Transfer Is a Concern:
If you shoot a lot of rounds in rapid succession, the cover can help prevent discomfort from a hot charging handle.
If You Prefer a Streamlined Setup:
If you’re okay with the exposed metal handle and don’t anticipate issues with grip or comfort, you can skip the cover and save the $15.
Should You Get It?
If you’re primarily looking for functionality and don’t mind the bare metal feel of the charging handle, the cover isn’t a necessity.
However, if you prioritize comfort, especially during long-range sessions or while wearing gloves, the cover is worth considering.

Is there a Double Finger & Recoil-less(yes, a heavy/thick double finger charging handle) Charging Handle for sale? I love my heavy Recoil-less charging handle, but I would also like it Double Finger sized. I would buy 2 instantly!
Currently, there is no official product combining the Double Finger design with the Recoil-less (heavy/thick) charging handle for the KEL-TEC SUB-2000 on the market. Both are excellent standalone upgrades, but a hybrid product offering both features has not been released by KEL-TEC, M*CARBO, or other major aftermarket manufacturers at this time.
Why This Product Doesn’t Exist Yet:
Weight and Design Balance:
The Recoil-less charging handle adds significant weight to reduce felt recoil, but increasing the size (to a Double Finger design) may require re-engineering for strength and balance.
Niche Demand:
While combining the two features would appeal to enthusiasts like you, the market demand may not yet be high enough to justify mass production.
Possible Options for a Workaround:
Custom Fabrication:
A skilled gunsmith or machinist may be able to modify an existing Recoil-less charging handle to include the Double Finger grip style.
This could involve welding or shaping a new handle while preserving the internal balance of the original Recoil-less design.
Contacting M*CARBO or KEL-TEC:
M*CARBO often develops new products based on customer requests. Reach out to their customer service or product development team to express interest in a Double Finger Recoil-less handle.
DIY Solution:
If you’re handy, consider adding a sleeve or extension to the Recoil-less handle to create a Double Finger grip area. This approach would require caution to maintain functionality and balance.
What You Can Do:
Let the Manufacturer Know:
Manufacturers like M*CARBO and KEL-TEC take customer feedback seriously. Expressing interest in such a product increases the chances of it being developed.
Stay Updated:
Keep an eye on aftermarket upgrades and forums where new products or custom solutions are often shared.

I had the same question. I guess it all depends on the weight. The recoiless just weighs more than the OEM one. They don't list weights for the double finger or the recoiless handle. Maybe people can supply that info along with the OEM weight?

Is this selection for the double finger charging handle or something else and what is “Black Nitride Plated no grip”? The way thats listed leaves me to believe its somehow a different charging handle and not something to do with the double finder charging handle. Kind of either or situation without understanding what black nitride is or what it does?

Will this work properly without the integrated tool-less locking pin, or is it required to install?
Yes, you need to install the tool-less locking pin if you don't you can run into the issue where your charging handle will fall out.
Will this work on the SUB CQB?
Does these work on the first generation .40 caliber also?
Functions in both the Gen 1 & Gen 2 models of the SUB-2000
