Light primer strikes
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
I never had light primer strikes with my factory striker and spring. I have always taken my reloads to the range and the p365 would chew through it no problem until I put this pin in. I thought maybe my reloads are to blame but my buddy chew through them in 2 different pistols.. sorry I'm not trusting my life on this pin.

This new striker assembly seems to be a very high quality product. I purchased it for my P365 XL that already has several modification improvements to make it my own. After watching MCarbo’s great installation video a couple of times I completed the easy peasy replacement in less than two minutes start to finish. While I did not actually measure the before and after trigger pull with a gauge, to my feel it seems like a smoother, bit less creepy pull, but it does seem a bit stronger pull is required. I already had the MCarbo short stroke trigger in my P365 XL. I definitely like the new assembly and cap. I haven’t taken it to my gun club yet, but will in a day or two to test fire several different types of rounds for reliability. If there are any problems I will update my review, but so far it’s great!

I previously reviewed this on an FDEZ comp'd slide set up for the XL. Was getting light strikes with this striker. This FDEZ company blows ass. I had nothing but problems with that slide. Zero communication from company they just ignored a polite email. I thought it was the titanium striker that was giving me light strikes. Well I replaced that FDEZ slide with a stock Sig comp'd slide. Its now 100% reliable. Zero malfunctions and over 250 rounds put in today. The trigger feel has improved so much, zero creep and with my Tyrant CNC safety trigger the break is crisp and clean at 90 degrees. Couldn't be happier the gun is so accurate and a joy to fire now.

light primer strikes
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
I never had even one light strike on my EDC P365XL until I replaced striker with new Ti kit. I own three versions of that pistol and have installed lots of Mcarbo kits and parts on several different brands of firearms. Always loved the results. This problem doesn't happen with premium ammo, only with less expensive range ammo. I swapped slides with another P365 and the problem traveled with the swap meaning its in that new striker. I disassembled, cleaned, lubed and inspected and saw nothing. I shoot every weekend and like the XL the best, so I run a lot thru it. Maybe I'll just install the OEM spring,,,,
Slide issues after install
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
After installing the striker assembly and backplate I went to put my gun back together, the slide wouldn’t go on as easily as with the factory backplate and striker. I don’t know if the safety lever is getting stuck on the backplate or the striker is getting stuck on the sear. From looking at it I am confident that it’s the backplate getting stuck on the safety lever but not 100% sure.
Works great for me

I purchased this for my p365xl and was a little worried going to a lighter striker and striker spring may cause problems. I put a pencil down my barrel eraser down and tested the factory striker and the titanium striker assembly. Both shot the pencil out of the barrel with the barrel facing the ceiling, which was a good sign. I took it to the range with the titanium assembly installed and had the stock with me just in case I needed to try the oem spring. Using the assembly as sent with the 3lb spring, I had no issues. It fired everything I put into it. I showed a little striker drag on some of the rounds with softer primers, but everything functioned perfectly. I fired Remington training 115 grain fmj, Sellier and Bellot 115 grain fmj, federal hst 124 grain jhp, ammo inc 124 grain sierra jhp, and hornady custom 124 grain xtp. The sellier and bellot and hornady seem to have harder primers, but everything worked flawlessly. For my firearm, this titanium striker assembly worked perfectly.

Love all the products I have purchased from M-Carbo, I just installed the Ti assembly in my EDC P365XL, sadly I am experiencing light striker hits. I'm running new 115 ammo, CCI and Buffalo, Can the trigger pull distance cause this? I'm planning on adjusting more travel into it and will remove firing mechanism to clean and retry, any thoughts?

To everyone who purchased this setup, is it really worth the money? When you add the tax and shipping, the price seems a bit high. I would think that if the price was more around the 129.99 to 149.99 mark, they would make more sales.

Question:
My Shalotek slide does not have the channel, so I won’t be able to use your housing or plate, unfortunately. But the striker and spring will still work with the oem housing and plate, correct?
Wiley Volker February 8, 2024 5:17 PM

Correct. The striker and striker spring will work with the factory set up and shalotek slides. However since shalotek did not mill the small channel into their slides the mcarbo slide cap and plunger lock will not work.

If I had to guess I'd say no, just probably not practical to design a whole different setup for a small subset of 365s. Thankfully it's not very expensive to pick up a factory slide from someone who's replaced theirs with an aftermarket. I also assume some aftermarket slides also have this same hole, but I've never checked.

Thank you for your service! I have the 365 with your spring kit and flat trigger kit . When replacing the OEM striker with the titanium striker is the spring that comes with the titanium striker the same as the replaced one that came with the spring kit or will it lighten trigger pull even more? The striker spring used in the Titanium Striker Assembly is a 3lb striker spring, which will allow further trigger pull reduction from the trigger spring kit that uses the 4lb striker spring.

Question:
It looks like the stainless striker housing requires your slide cap with spring loaded pin. If I want to retain my current slide cap, I would need to retain the plastic striker housing, correct? (Or otherwise drill a hole in it in order to use the stainless housing...)

Are there issues with light strikes? I saw a couple people mention that and want to make sure that has been addressed, as this is an EDC and needs to go bang every time.

I have fired over 2000 round with this striker in my p365 and have not had a single light strike or any other malfunction. I have been using Blazer Brass 115 gr. This is a Great Striker!

Question:
Love all the products I have purchased from M-Carbo, I just installed the Ti assembly in my EDC P365XL, sadly I am experiencing light striker hits. I'm running new 115 ammo, CCI and Buffalo, Can the trigger pull distance cause this? I'm planning on adjusting more travel into it and will remove firing mechanism to clean and retry, any thoughts?

Question:
To everyone who purchased this setup, is it really worth the money? When you add the tax and shipping, the price seems a bit high. I would think that if the price was more around the 129.99 to 149.99 mark, they would make more sales.

Question:
I'm having lite strikes to no strike on my primers ever since installation of all M*Carbo products on my 365 except your new barrel with compensator. Can you send out a new striker spring (may be defective) for the titanium striker and also some information on adjusting the trigger travel screw? Your link to this did not work. Thank you.

Question:
My Shalotek slide does not have the channel, so I won’t be able to use your housing or plate, unfortunately. But the striker and spring will still work with the oem housing and plate, correct?

Correct. The striker and striker spring will work with the factory set up and shalotek slides. However since shalotek did not mill the small channel into their slides the mcarbo slide cap and plunger lock will not work.

Will you offer an upgrade kit (striker housing & slide end cap only) for those of us who've purchased the prior version of the Titanium Performance Striker ?

We have discontinued the striker sleeve assembly to be sold separately as we don't recommend the factory striker due to striker tip breakages. If you already have our Titanium striker then give us a call and we will create a custom order for the striker assembly to be caught up with the full drop-in package.

I have 2 365 xl slides and the latest one does not have a hole in rear to accept the plunger on your Titanium Striker assb. Are you planning to make one for this type and /or will the existing one work?

If I had to guess I'd say no, just probably not practical to design a whole different setup for a small subset of 365s. Thankfully it's not very expensive to pick up a factory slide from someone who's replaced theirs with an aftermarket. I also assume some aftermarket slides also have this same hole, but I've never checked.

Question:
Has anyone tried this in combination with the trigger kit from Tactical Trigger? My main concern is compatibility with Tactical Trigger's kit having its own slide cap as well which is needed as their pre-travel shim engages the firing pin block connector, blocking an oem slide cap during assembly.

I asked and they said you would need to have them modify the mcarbo cap if you wanted to use their pre-travel stop. Though after saying this they continued with several paragraphs making it clear they aren't mcarbo's biggest fan haha.

Correct! The OEM Striker Spring can be used but just won't have the optimized trigger pull weight reduction.

Question:
Thank you for your service! I have the 365 with your spring kit and flat trigger kit . When replacing the OEM striker with the titanium striker is the spring that comes with the titanium striker the same as the replaced one that came with the spring kit or will it lighten trigger pull even more? Thank you
Charlie B August 5, 2023 1:37 PM

The striker spring used in the Titanium Striker Assembly is a 3lb striker spring, which will allow further trigger pull reduction from the trigger spring kit that uses the 4lb striker spring.
