Eliminates doubt on a lubericate for polymers
After much reserch and warning on lubricants for use on polymers, This was a guaranteed no brainer. I feel safe using it on all my nylon/polymer partds that need just a touch of lube to avoid wear.
Great for un-seizing old armament
Someone gifted me a barn-find Winchester 1890 .22 take-down gallery rifle. It was totally seized from rust, gunk, dirt and time.
My goal initially was just to clean it up and hang it on the wall. I started feeding the CLP into the action which was stuck in an open position with the hammer back. I rolled it around every few hours and poured more CLP in from different angles and areas.
Danged if a couple hours later I was able to move the action enough to close it. I could also work the hammer and trigger just fine. I tried the thumb screw bolt that serves as a means to take the rifle down into two halves or components. It is slotted for a coin or screwdriver but also knurled.
I just grabbed it between my fingers and was able to dial the take-down bolt out by hand. Heck, I will keep going little by little, maybe this thing will be a shooter again someday.
Lube is good
McCarbo comes across very professional. Can’t go wrong with more lube than not enough.
First time user Quite Amazed
I’ve been using CLP more and more and yesterday it became my go to cleaner. Took my new PMR30 and my S&W M&P9 2.0 out for sighting and fun. Came home and what used to be for me a couple hour job due to using my old standby Hoppes ( great cleaner but very limited cleaner IMHO). Hoppes plainly does not disolve copper/ powder fouling without a lot of wire brush scrubbing with wand and many patches as well. Using CLP I cut this time in half for both weapons. 1 hour for both weapons. No, as NO wire brush was needed, using a Otis snake it literally too 4 swabs with CLP in the snake front end (about 4”) for my PMR30. I messed around with Hoppes on my M&P so it took longer, before I saw the CLP and used that. It’s my go to now along with a bore snake. I like the Otis as it has a small section of fine copper brush fibers woven in the snake which makes a difference I think and is safe for the barrel.
Three functions, one product. Easily remove residue in one step I didn't even need to use a brush and all the parts are spotless. Even better than my old favorite Hopped cleaning solvent and lube.
The Truth!!!
