      Affordable Fix for 597 Mag
      review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
Item works as advertised. The old spring in one of my 597 mag was so worn out that rounds woundn't feed at all. This got the mag back to working condition and I'm back here to order another. $10 to fix a mag vs $40 to buy a new one. Easy choice.

Well I messed up one of my mags try to get the plastic base off, but the spring still works and feeds great. My previous spring wouldn’t feed at all. The only problem is I can’t get 10 rounds in the 10 round mag to save my life, so 7 it is! Regardless, the mags feed well now. If you have a 597, welcome to the “I should’ve bought a Ruger” buyer’s remorse club.

      Mag spring for 597
      review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
Bought this hoping it would work on a 597 mag. And it doesn’t work for a .22 mag magazine. Wish it would have been clear before ordering that it wouldn’t work for all 597’s. Only the 597 non-mag models.
      THE PERFECT SOLUTION!!!

I finally pulled the trigger and purchased these mag springs after about a year of holding off. I admit, I thought just another sales gimmick". WRONG! I compared these springs to the OEM springs and noticed that these were made of heavier gauge metal, then I compressed the new springs between my fingers and noticed how much more resistance there was and how well they returned to their original length (yes, I measured). Installed new springs into my magazines and "VIOLA", problem solved. And I didn't have to spend $40+ dollars on new magazines.

Ordering was easy, the price was great, delivery was fast (3 days) and I definitely will order parts/supplies from this company again.

      Solved the mis-feed problem

Your replacement springs gave new life to my Remington 597 original plastic magazines. I was frustrated with a severe feeding problem with the gun a while ago at the range. Going on line I discovered that many folks had the same problem because of the flimsy original magazine springs. One guy mentioned M-CARBO. Click! I had gotten a captured slide spring for my Walther P22 a few years ago and was happy with the results. Your shipment of the 597 mag springs was quick and the springs caused the 597 to feed perfectly every time with all 3 magazines. Thanks for problem solving.

Had ridiculous feeding issues with the stock magazines that came with my Remington 597. Bought these upgraded MCarbo springs, installed them in my old factory mags and they feed flawlessly!!!

What's more, after seeing the price of new magazines, I found a free STL file online of the Remington 597 magazines. Downloaded the file, then sliced it with a slicer program and uploaded the file into my 3D printer.

I 3D printed my own magazine with ABS filament and installed this MCarbo spring. Wow! Feeds flawlessly after a little sanding.

The price of a 597 magazine is ridiculous and I just created one for the price of the spring! The best spring on top of that!

Purchased these replacement springs for my Remington 597 .22LR magazines and they worked great. I have the metal magazines (with plastic base plate and follower), so before I installed the new springs i disassembled the magazine and really had to clean and scrub the metal on the metal body of the magazine (inside and out) with a wire brush, then rised thoroughly with gun cleaning fluid. The metal was actually getting rough on the inside and out which was catching the follower. The weak spring plus the roughness on metal part of the magazine was causing constant feed issues. After the new springs and cleaning my 597 is performing flawlessly. Before you installed the new springs make sure the orange follower goes up and down smoothly. You may need to wire brush the inside of the magazine.
