Savage Axis Synthetic Stock Stabilizer Kit
Enhance your shooting experience with the Savage Axis Synthetic Stock Stabilizer Kit by M*CARBO! This kit offers lightweight and rigid reinforcement for the original, somewhat flimsy, Savage Axis 1 Stock, allowing you to build a more solid and stable shooting position.
Every shooter needs a well-supported position for optimal accuracy, and this principle applies to your rifle as well. Our stabilizer kit includes custom ABS blocks, made with 30% infill using 3D printing, designed to snugly fill all four voided sections of the factory plastic stock, which are known for flexing and moving. These blocks are custom-designed for a tight press fit into the four empty, unsupported holes in the forend of the Axis 1 Stock, stiffening up the forend without significantly adding weight or affecting the balance of your rifle.
Please note, this stabilizer kit WILL NOT WORK with the newer "Ergo-Stock" on Savage AXIS 1 models. It is exclusively designed for Savage AXIS 1 models equipped with the original stock, characterized by a specific forend structure (The original stock should have a fully removable trigger guard, unlike the new Ergo stock). A side-by-side comparison of the original stock and the new Ergo stock should help identify compatibility.
Make sure to verify your stock type before purchasing to ensure compatibility and enhance your rifle's stability and shooting accuracy.

Works as advertised
Good product..I've bought several products from them..great support and products
This kit works!
I was sceptic at first but I thought I’d give it a try. What could it hurt. I sure am glad I did. This kit stiffened my stock and the flex is gone! I had to modify the piece nearest the end of the stock. A little sanding as it was too long for my stock. These pieces fit tight! I used JB Weld instead of the stuff you get with these. I had previously JB Welded the trigger guard on to the stock and reinforced the grip area as well. With this addition my stock feels like an expensive solid stock without the weight. Just installed today but I am confident the accuracy will improve. I would highly recommend this kit for your Axis stock.
Solid Win
Bought this after installing the trigger upgrade kit for my Savage Axis. Was impressed by the quality of that kit, and this didn't disappoint either. Really stiffened up the stock and took the flimsy feel out of it.
Fit Like a Glove
This stock stabilizer kit was an amazing change to the (cheap) plastic stock that came from the factory on my Savage Axis. I knew the Axis is a lower end entry level but, it can be converted to a nice piece of equipment, for not a lot of $$$$. I installed a Shaw 24 in Varmint barrel so the stock had to be worked so the barrel would fit. This work did not affect the function of the stabilizer kit.
If you buy a Savage Axis before you do any shooting, whether it be just target or hunting invest this stock stabilizer kit.

Good inexpensive upgrade
The provided pieces fit in the forestock like a glove and don't cause any interference as long as you seat them fully and correctly. My stock still has a little vertical flex after the upgrade, but much much less than before and feels more much more rigid without adding too much weight. When you do this upgrade, I'd recommend filling the buttstock at the same time. Both will compliment eachother and reduce the hollow sound of the stock substantially.
Did not fit my rifle because I did not thoroughly read the product description
So, I did not vet this product enough. I did not realize Savage had upgraded their stocks and that is what I owned. Nonetheless, I purchased this adapter and lo and behold it would not fit my rifle. No worries their customer service was quick to remedy the issue at no additional cost to me. They were fast in sending me a return label and did not charge a restocking fee as I never opened the kit.
Comes with everything you need to add some much-needed rigidity to the cheap factory handguard of the Axis. Keeps it off the barrel, improving accuracy.
Works well
Works well for the part of the stock it addresses. There is still some wiggle around the trigger, but there’s nothing these can do for that. The glue was hardened when it arrived. I put them in anyway till I could get some glue, and there was little to no change. Once I glued them in, they worked just as advertised. They keep the stock from contacting the barrel and screwing with the harmonics.

Will this fit Savage 110 Switchback?
It depends on the stock you have for the firearm. Please read the Description Tab on the product to see the differences between the standard and the new ergo stocks.
If you crack open your firearm and look down inside the stock where the barrel lays, you can see if it has the X pattern for stability or if it is hollow and needs the stability kit.
Will this fit on axis 2 .308 cal

No, it only fits in the Axis 1 with the old stile stock. If you look at the pictures and compare to your stock you will be able to see the difference.
How are the blocks secured in the stock? Is a glue used?
Yes, we include Loctite 380 Black Max (3g) Tube with the blocks! A little goes a long way.
Dumb question but will this keep the barrel "free floating"?? Thanks
Yes the barrel will be free
Will this work for the Axis 2 in 223? Or just the Axis 1?

Is the material rock hard plastic or is there some cushion?
The plastic have no cushion is a hard plastic
These blocks are ABS Plastic 30% Infill 3D Printed, and are pretty solid but still extremely lightweight.
