Wow!!
It definitely worked. Trigger pole is probably half. You really do need the right tools and follow the videos.
Like night and day
As the video says, it’s like night and Day and it is a significantly lighter trigger. The Pull is more consistent. Definitely recommend it. You will need the proper tools. It was a fun project. I haven’t done a lot of gunsmithing, but I do have the proper tools if you follow the video, it works great.

too much
well, I looked at the how-to-do video, and being a touch dyslexic, I realized it would not be possibe for me to install it. Then looked at your charge to do it for me, and decided it was not worth spending that much money on what i call, an inexpensive pistol. The gun isn't worth it. So'oo, will wait until I can find someone locally that is mechanically-minded, to do it for me, if and when. Thanks anyway; not a fault of your product.
Well worth it!
I bought a SCCY CPX2 many years ago and have hated it. Until I decides to buy this spring kit. Now I love shooting this pistol! It's brought my accuracy up at least 70% or higher! It's like a completely different pistol!
Save your money
If you're reading this, you've probably already made your first mistake by buying one of these guns. If you haven't bought one, save your money. The only thing I regret more than buying one of these guns is buying two.
I was interested in getting my daughters to shoot so I bought a CPX1 (9) in purple and a CPX4 (380) in pink. Both of these have manual thumb safeties. I also paid a little bit more to have them optics ready so I could eventually start working with them on red dots.
Out of the box, they looked great. I was very excited to show my girls the new guns.
I took both guns to the range to test out before having the kids shoot them and instantly, without hesitation hated both of these guns. They are both DAO with 3 mile, 8-9 pound trigger pulls. Holy crap. Worst guns I have ever shot by far. Even worse than anything from Keltec or HiPoint.
So, I did some more research and found this spring kit. Went ahead and purchased one for each gun and opted to do it myself. The video was an excellent step-by-step tutorial, and two of the three springs were swapped out very easily. If you have a newer generation version of either of these guns, do not. I repeat. do not attempt to replace the trigger return spring because the pin that needs to be removed to fully take the gun apart is cemented in and you will damage your gun trying to do that. Trust me. Like I always say, smart people learn from their mistakes. Really smart people learn from other people's mistakes. Learn from mine
OK. All done. Back to the range. Long story short. Yes the trigger is a bit softer, but it's still DAO, with an insanely long trigger pull. We could get used to that by watching the hammer come back and timing the point of firing. The problem: More misfires than actual fires.
I have heard that the DVG-1 is a striker fired gun that does not have these issues, but there is no manual safety, which was a dealbreaker for me.
I might restore them back to original factory condition, but not sure if I want to waste the time. Between the guns, spring kits, extra magazines that I purchased and FFL fees, I am out $700. If it's not too late, do not buy these guns. I highly recommend either the Ruger security lite rack 380 or the M&P EZ 380.
Night and day difference! Highly recommend!
I just got my SCCY CPX-3, .380 pistol back from the gunsmith yesterday. I had an MCARBO spring kit and an MCARBO adjustable flat trigger kit installed. The factory stock pistol had an 8 lb trigger and a long trigger (DAO) pull. With the MCARBO mods I now have a 3 1/2 lb trigger and a pull that is about 30% shorter! The difference is like night and day! I haven't been to the range yet, but dry firing is really nice. If all is well after putting some lead downrange I will probably get the same MCARBO kits for my Ruger MAX-9.
Sccy 380 cox 4 trigger spring replacement
1st time taking a gun down that far. Video instructions are awesome. Trigger pull is good now. My 4 has a safety for both sides, so you will need a small Torx to remove the screw. Careful not to drop screws or springs.
In testing or reviews, has there been any reported light strikes, in standard ammunition or ammunition with hard primers?
Hello: Will this kit work on SCCY CPX-1 Gen3 ?
I'm looking into purchasing a SCCY CPX4. First thing I'm going to want to do is lighten the 9lb trigger pull. Does this kit work with all CPX 1,2,3 &4 or when ordering do I need to specify which model I purchase? What does this kit bring the 9lb down to?
I've ended up with an extra cpx-2 trigger kit, will this kit work on my cpx-3?
No. The CPX-2 is a different kit than the CXP-3.

Does this shorten up the trigger pull any

It will not shorten the trigger pull itself but it will reduce the effort needed to pull the trigger by lightening it up.
Will the CPX2 trigger spring kit work on the gen 3 edition of SCCY's CPX2?
September 28, 2022 11:56 AM
The trigger bars are different on gen 3 from gen 2. Gen 3 trigger bar doesn't have the slot in it that trigger spring connects like on gen 2 models. My gen 3 doesn't anyway. I found out trying to install the Galloway Precision trigger upgrade kit on my gen 3. Their website says unsure about gen 3 compatibility and it doesn't work due to the different trigger bar/spring setup.

They have not messed with any of the insides with Gen 3, just added on red dot cut outs, new sights and a better grip.
I am looking for my order
you should have gotten an email with your order number, you can also send us an email or give us a call.
Can I install this myself?
Yes you can, However we recommend having a gunsmith do the install, and we suggest checking with the manufactory to see if you doing the labor voids the warranty.
Will this void the SCCY warranty?
I would recommend calling them and asking.
Will this kit work on the new Gen 3 CPX-2?
Yes our CPX-1 / CPX-2 Spring kit will fit and function in your model!
Is it critical to add all of the springs in the kit or can I just put the hammer spring on?
Yes, our spring kits are only warrantied as a full kit. We highly recommend installing all springs in a kit to ensure proper functioning of the firearm as well as make sure you receive the best results possible!
Will this trigger reduction kit affect the reliability of my handgun
We conduct extensive testing in-house prior to releasing any new products to verify their reliability and compatibility with the models listed. We also recommend any aftermarket upgrades be installed by a gunsmith, and offer these services here! Please feel free to email us at help@mcarbo.com if you have any further questions.
Can I be put on the list for this spring kit
Will the spring kit for the cpx3/4 work in the cpx1? thanks
There should be a drop down box to where you can select CPX 1-2 or CPX 3-4, they are very similar however it would be advised to use the correct springs for your model.
Please add me to the notification list when the spring kit is back in stock for the CPX -2. Thx.

When will cpx-2 trigger kit be in stock.
Jeffw September 27, 2021 9:14 PM
Hey Brother. As of right now we don't have an ETA but will keep you up to date!
Can I buy a CPX-2 Trigger Return Spring by itself? My lighter one seems to be bent a little bit and I can't get the trigger to reset. It's acting like a single action handgun instead of a double action handgun.
