Not much help here
Haven't installed it yet. Just bought the gun and need to shoot it more to get used to the old trigger before upgrading. The video is very informative and I'm sure the installation will go smoothly.

Really refreshed and cleaned up the trigger on my police turn in M&P 40. Would recommend to anyone that wants to do the work themselves.

Good kit
I used this trigger kit on a EAA Girsan MC28SA (M&P clone). The firing pin spring was the only spring I was unable to use because it was a different diameter. Everything else worked great. The "assembly pin" that came with it didn't help for my install, it actually seemed to make it much more difficult and frustrating 🤣. I ended up assembling without it and it was much easier.
As usual, good quality kit from Mcarbo.
A Little Disappointed....
I didn't see as much reduction in measured trigger pull as I'd hoped - went from 7.0lbs to 5.5lbs, which is good but not great. With all of the sanding & polishing involved, my trigger FEEL has improved hugely. Very clean & crisp. I wish y'all would come out with a replacement trigger with adjustments to minimize takeup and over travel. I loved the video and followed it step by step as I worked on my gun. I did notice a few minor differences between the video and my 2.0, but nothing that caused any trouble. I rated this kit at 4 stars because of your video. Your explanations are concise but complete, showing every view of every part. I know if I get into trouble I can always rewind it as many times as it takes for me to catch what I missed earlier. As long as I see an installation video for a part, I'm not afraid to buy anything that you sell!

I put this in a Massachusetts compliant 10# trigger.trigger breaks now at 6# pretty sure if I'd change sticker it wold be better but at leastno 10#

Bought a police trade in M&P40. Trigger was 6lb upon buying. I stripped, cleaned & polished all matting surfaces which gave me 5.75lb Trigger. Wanted to get the 3
~3.75lb claimed here so I bought this kit. After proper installation I have a 5.5lb Trigger. Wonder if Mcarbo had a NY Trigger on their test gun, but still unsure how they got such a low pull weight bc I installed everything from the kit as prescribed..

Do I need to use the Custom Lighter Striker Spring included in the kit?
My son has fallen in love with the S&W 30 super carry EZ and is looking for some trigger enhancements. After reading the Q&A's it seems this s not the ideal product to purchase.... can you steer us in the right direction?
my sear spring seems to be much smaller in dia and my detent cap is also much smaller for my m&p 45 can i still install the rest of the springs and leave the stock sear spring in place? Also do you have a smaller sear spring for my m&p 45?
What is it about this kit that's not compatible with the 10mm? From my understanding, the internals for the 10mm and the .45 were essentially the same.

Are there any possible safety issues with installing the kit in a 10mm M&P? If not, I might just purchase one and leave the original striker spring in place to eliminate the light strike issue. Obviously, you won't get the full 50% trigger pull weight reduction offered by the complete kit, but I imagine the improvement by changing out the other OEM springs for the ones in the kit would be well worth the very reasonable $25 cost....No?
In striker fired pistols, the striker spring is the main contributor to trigger pull weight. You will have a smoother pull but not as drastic if you leave out the striker spring. We have only tested the kit in one 10mm M&P and have not done the drop testing due to the light strikes. But, as long as the firing pin block parts are the same size, there should not be any safety concerns.
This kit is for the S&W M&P 1.0 / 2.0 full-size pistols. While I am not a big fan of polymer, striker-fired pistols . . . I gave in and purchased one of the new S&W M&P 5.7 pistols. Since this is an internal hammer-fired design, I will assume this kit would not help improve the trigger of the new 5.7 offerings. Are there any plans to create a kit for the new M&P 5.7?
Would it work on the new 10mm?
We tested the kit with the 10mm M&P and received light strikes. The striker spring in the kit may be too weak for some 10mm primers, but the springs did fit into the firearm. Due to the light strikes, we haven't listed it as compatible.
I have a mp9 m2.0 9mm with factory 10# trigger will this work to relieve some travel and weight would be happy with 6.5 compared to 10 .."Massachusetts compliant"
Our kit will replace the trigger spring components and get your trigger pull down to about 3.75lbs (+/-1lb). The Mass springs will be replaced so it doesn't matter how heavy it started out.

We tested it on this caliber 9mm / .357 / .40cal & .45ACP. The 10mm wasn't tested. We can't recommend if it will work

Yes, that won't be an issue. Some loops are a bit more than others, but it will be acceptable for installation

We have yet to test it in that model, as long as the insides are the same as a regular M&P9 it should work. That being said the pro series or performance series might already have a lighter trigger pull.

Hey Brother.
This will not fit the EZ kits, The Shield EZ firearms are hammer fired, while the normal M&P series firearms are striker fired.
