Review
Very straight forward easy install. Looks good and works
Looks great...that is it! Despite being hard to slide on, it is too flexible once on. I can see the open areas getting caught or rub against something and that will create a lip that will pull up more over time,. I say this because when that does happen the edge rolls down slowly, implying no ":memory" as to its shape. It is only suitable for those who use the longest pull length (first hole in butt stock). Once you cut it to get to a shorter length the integrity of the tube is completely compromised. The part of the tube that wraps around the butt end of the sleeve is removed when you trim it down. The design of the KTS2K limits the versatility of ANY sleeve. I have a Tacticool sleeve which slips over the tube. It feels a bit softer, but does not look as cool as the MCarbo type. For cold weather and beards I can see why this is needed, though self fusing tape (or any tape) over the end of the butt stock will solve the hair pulling issue. I do not know if I can get a refund, but I would like to return this item.
Tired of taking that solid punch to the cheek? Add this buffer tube cover & let it take most of the abuse!
Install very easy, helps with weapons charging, well made
Fits exactly the way I order, product is durable not those plastic or cheap rubber from other competitor, love the mcarbo name on the bolt cover. Thanks again mcarbo, oohrah!!!
This is a great idea! I use to get my beard hair caught in in this all the time...took that issue out of the picture and makes the shock to the cheek much lighter!
I purchased a bone stock Gen2 S2K in 9mm Glock configuration. My research into this platform led me to M*CARBO. I started off with this cover and the recoil buffer; two easy and inexpensive upgrades. Since installing the two pieces I put about 200 additional rounds through it. Both parts seem to work well together and for a total investment of about $25, one has a noticeable reduction in felt recoil. If you’ve any doubts about M*CARBO’s reputation, keep in mind that Kel-Tec has partnered with M*CARBO for the limited edition M-Series Sub-2000 (which I kinda wish I got in the first place...)
super easy install, quality rubber.just make sure you order the one you need, ill say this more than once but mcarbo as a company and a team are good people.very helpful and a company of patriots.thanks to all yall
Got the cover in and watched the video on how to disassemble my sub. Being that it is right out of the box, make sure you give the rest pin some extra mph! Put gun oil on the cover and it slid right in. As with any product, go to the source for install videos. I watch the mcarbo videos and everything is a breeze. Looks great and feels great too!
The weird cheek weld takes a step in the right direction with this add on. Can't think of a good reason not to have it! 2 minutes install.
Installed very easily, almost too easy. It slide on too fast, too far and ended up getting somewhat deformed. Still works great though.
Picked this up last fall and it was an easy install. The tube does require the stock to be extended all the way out. Not an issue for me, but makes it harder for smaller shooters. If you typically have to stock all the way back this is a must add
Installed on a 40 cal. Installation was a breeze.... Paired with the buttstock extension.. Expected more reduction of the recoil/cheek-hating abuse...... Didn't reduce the shock as much as I hoped. Not to bitch without a solution.... I think you are limited with maintaining the functionality of the weapon (fold with no interference). How about offering an "upgrade" that provides more cushion at the cost of "foldability"...I would buy it and I think other folks would. BTW...you guys are doing great work Chris....keep it up Rob
This was easy to install and again a must have for this rifle since the side of your face will be resting on buffer tube.
The bolt tube cover went on very easily and made a big difference in the feel of the gun. Much improved comfort level. Definitely worth the money!
Got two of these, I used the longer version, slipped on with no issues, didn’t need to lube the tube. My wife likes the shorter stock, so I had to trim hers down. I used gorilla glue to hold the rear end in place Because I did not what that section to roll up later. With this installation of this and the new sights make a hugh improvement.
