My sub 2000 has the black metal tube, this cover made target practice much more enjoyable, because it cushions the tube were you have to put your cheek against to properly use the rifles factory sight. BTW, it adds a nice look as well.
With the new taller flip down rear sight from MCARBO, they lost one of the main sell points: to keep your face off the bare metal tube while mashing it down trying to get a sight picture using the stock rear sight. Ok. I got it cos it looks cool and says MCARBO on it. Nuff said!
I cut the two rear piece off separately. Use motorcycle grip glue on front around like ring. Push the larger piece over it. Then applied a line and 3/4 under rest. Then apply the far restr ring a cut back on allowing for charging handle. Once it dries I had the far and middle stock position back. Sent picture to The president. He post this and those on the Forum.
This was a necessary item for me as the tube really seemed to whack me when shooting. This takes the sting out of it and is much nicer to put my cheek on in the cold weather. Relatively easy to install but I'd like to see a little different design....I have to have the stock out at max length to fit it and I'd like to have it shorter. I know you can cut these down for that but then it won't wrap completely around the tube due to the bolt action. To me it seems then that the rear section will be a little weak. I may be wrong but don't want to cut it down and risk that. Perhaps someone else has done this, be great to hear from you.
Keeps your beard from disappearing while shooting. Nothing like pulling the trigger anticipating the removal of facial hair!!!

For everyone else, buy the damn sleeve. It goes on in less time than it took for you to read this. Even if you didn't have to sound out the big words.
Last external mod for sub2000. I’m sold on Mcarbo. They have done their due diligence with what we what and the quality we expect. With that being said it didn’t fit properly with full extension. Figured all sub2000’s were modular. So I thought it was going to be a quick slide on and go. Well after removing bolt carrier group and 30 second it was complete. All I needed was a pair of scissors it was operational. By the time I’m done I will have a complete Mcarbo DIY sub2000.
I was really interested in this item as it was slightly uncomfortable for me to shoot, but once I received the item I realized that I had to cut it for my stock position and once you do that it is no longer secured to the gun on the back part and just sort of hangs there. This product is a good idea if you do not have to cut it. So if you do have to cut it just save your money, I wish I did. This could be improved with maybe some type of clip that would hold the rear of it on the gun.
This cover is great makes my SUB 2k looks nicer and more comfortable to my face when I'm shooting. Keep the good job Mcarbo!!!
This works well easy installation.
I purchased this because I was having a problem with the bolt tube collars coming loose on both of my Sub 2000’s. It not only fixes that issue but also acts as a soft cheek rest and insulates a hot bolt tube. I also ordered loctite 380 collar adhesive from M*carbo to use on the collars. This bolt tube cover is easy to install, functions as advertised and looks cool. I must say that in my experience m*carbo has the best customer service in the industry. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because of the price.
I am very happy with this cover, it really makes a difference, no more sore jaw, cold metal contact and it helps raise my face to sights better.

Order with confidence. These guys will get it shipped faster than Amazon (as a reference for fast shipping, not that you can get it from big A). It makes the face-gun interface MUCH more comfortable when shooting the low lying iron sights.
I bought a bolt tube cover for my Kel-Tec Sub 2K. When it arrived (and it arrived fast) I was a little surprised at how thin it is. But it looks like quality material so I put it on the gun. I was pleased because it made it both look and feel better. I highly recommend this little upgrade!
