What I thought would be super simple to install and use right off the bat was a bit more complicated for me. The tube cover was a bit long and I had to gradually cut off small parts of the tube until it fit perfectly. Not sure if I got a dud or what... either way, the product works as expected and provides a much more comfortable shooting experience.
Seems like a really well made cover, but apparently sometime recently Kel-Tec changed their bolt tube collar. The new collar is shorter so now the MCarbo cover doesn’t fill the entire space between the butt stock and the collar. About a 1/4” gap and the cover slides back and forth. Not MCarbo’s fault, just need an update to the BT Cover. All that said, my cheek loves this cover and I’ll happily keep it on my Sub 2000!!!
Sure does the job and reduces shock from the tube. My cheek bone feels good now!
Bolt Tube Cover makes my sub look very nice and feels great.
I think this is one of the “required” add-ones for the Sub. High quality, easy to install and very comfortable in use.
The product arrived on time and was exactly as described online. Installation was easy, and it makes a nice addition to the firearm. It helped somewhat with cheek weld and added a small amount of comfort when firing.
The Bolt Tube cover is a must for any Sub-2000 shooter. It is much more comfortable on my cheek as I am shooting now.
What a nice, comfortable solution to put over the bare steel that I rest my cheek on. A 100% better than cold steel on your face! It was easy to put on, just used a little gun oil to help it go all the way on to the collar. Thanks for the simple solution.
I didn't realize that the sub 2k was such a mule. Mine is a 40 and I butt my cheek up to the tube really tight to see through the sites. Needless to say I am always sore the day after, this certainly improves the feel but the sub 2k needs the other felt recoil parts from MCARBO. Already ordered and installed just need to compare.
This is just what I was looking for. This will keep my jaw from getting jarred by the recoil which is not severe by any means but every little bit helps. I also live in a hot humid climate so sweating is an issue and this should keep the cheek weld from being slippery.The installation went as described in the video. The videos are great as I do best when I can see how the parts are supposed to fit. The description of the installation are very detailed also. Great high quality part.

Just installed the Bolt Tube cover and Charging Handle cover on my Sub2000. MCARBO Install video made it real easy and they both work great. Nice Upgrade 😄🇺🇸
Very comfortable on the cheek, and softens the recoil. Great accessory for a reasonable price.
I ordered the bolt tube cover based on other reviews I had seen. It arrived quickly & was easy to install. It looks great and eliminates the cold/hot metal against the cheek. The gun still folds & closes without issue. Very nice upgrade for my SUB-2000! You will be happy you ordered it!
