Ok so this is the one time I will take a "plastic" part over a "metal" one. Not quite as thick or cushioned as I expected it to be, but does get the chin off that metal tube. That will be a big plus during the chillier weather we get for a good portion of the year up here in Wis. I have the nickel boron model, so the cutouts for the serial no. and the charging handle make it look really good on the weapon.
I love it just food for thought Can we have one that you can add parts as needed or remove as needed and can lock in place
I recommend the tube cover as a must first upgrade for the Sub 2K (especially if you wear a long beard). Even if not...the MCarbo tube cover reduces heat and gives your cheek a soft landing pad while reducing vibration that interferes with your sight picture!

1st I'll start with my only complaint and that is that the sights are low and adding even a little bit of height to the buffer tube makes getting one's eye in place a little bit harder. Note, this was not bad enough for me to reduce my rating. Definitely absorbs recoil adding to one's comfort. And with it in place, it makes assembly a bit easier as it helps hold the stock at the correct position when inserting the stock pin into the buffer assembly.
Cover fits great after trimming and makes for more comfortable cheek rest.
If you purchased your sub 2000 recently this piece will be a little too short and leave a gap on each side giving it room to move around. Apperently some changes were made to the plastic nut that it is supposed to butt up against the sleeve. The people at Mcarbo are aware of this so I'm not sure why they wouldn't let potential customers know in the items description. This sleeve and the charging handle cover both serve there purpose if they fit your model sub 2000 but in all reality they probably spent around 50 cents to manufacture these 2 parts.
Probably with a thicker sleeve would feel better , but, this one works fine if used with the recoil buffer

1st time I shot my sub 2000 I loved it but thought the tube was cold & you felt the recoil on your cheek. This solved the problem..Great product
Installed in five minutes. Should help protect the chin and cheek by easing any recoil after firing. It also gives the Sub 2000 a more professional appearance . Plus in the cold weather it should make the tube easier to deal with while firing. Delivery was quicker than promised bdy 3 days, and I will suggest this vendor to all my friends.

This is a must have in my opinion. This sleeve makes the S2K much more pleasurable to shoot.
Makes a great difference in comfort. Don't be cheap and spend the 15 bucks. You will not be disappointed at all.
I purchased this sleeve along with the buffer tube bushing and they make all the difference. Makes the sub2000 so much more fun to shoot.
Works great for putting something between your cheek and the bolt tube. First thing anyone should put on their sub.
