Don't waste your money on this item and beware of their 100% guarantee on their website. I bought the Gen 2 bolt tube cover around six months ago. Yesterday while shooting I saw the cover had sifted on the tube. When I finished shooting and removed my buttstock, the cover moved backwards around 1 inch. I then saw it was so loose that it came off without even trying. I called MCarbo today because their website says 100% guaranteed. What a bunch of B.S this is. Their solution was to get a hair dryer and heat up the defective cover. What kind of guarantee is this if they can't even stand behind a $15 product of low quality. First of all, no one should have to do this first before they can send it back in so THEY can determine whether it is a manufacturer defect. You'd be better off making your own or going to another vendor.
Very fast shipping and looks great but the biggest benefit for me was comfort. I was frequently getting beard hairs yanked by the stock. This is a must have for anyone with a beard.
Nice simple addition with easy install. I recommend to anyone who has experienced the grab of the beard from the Sub 2000
Doesn't add a lot of cushion but is more comfortable than cheek-bone on steel.
I used to have the Tacticool sleeve, and it works. The difference appears to be that the MCarbo version appears to be thicker, and more resistant to vibrations from shooting. I'm going to add all the components to my Sub2k!
I've tried other tube covers and this one is the nicest. Others were thicker and softer but flimsy and loose interfering with charging handle operation.

I am glad these are available. Makes firing much more comfortable and its easier for me to recall my exact position to maintain sight picture. Well worth the money.
The M*Carbo bolt tube cover is so simple, yet provides a MAJOR improvement. No more having to press you cheek onto a cold (or hot) metal tube. Don't think about it...just get one.
