Reduced trigger from 4.5 to 2.5 pounds. Video was good help
My Previous review should have been 5 stars..Great Product!
For those who prefer a 3lb or less trigger pull & can't get it with an X-Bolt rifle, you should consider this simple & cost effective fix. It does allow you to lower the poundage below 4 lbs as advertised.
Aside from the difficulty of removing the factory spring, the installation was easy. The Browning factory weight was at 4.1lb and after installing this spring, it’s at a consistent 2.1lb. Definitely an improvement
I have bought springs for all six of my Browning X bolts. They changed trigger pull down from 3.5 to anywhere between 2.4 and 1.1. Got to where I didn't even pull the barrel to remove spring. Watched helpfully video and took me between 3 to 5 minutes per rifle to pull factory spring and install new. It works.
Installed in a stainless stalker. Trigger definitely feels lighter, but I don't think cut in half. Only checked using my calibrated finger. I found it easier to pull the spring out through the adjustment screw hole.
Ordered and received the M-CARBO trigger replacement spring for the Browning X-Bolt. Attempted to install the spring i.a.w. the YouTube video found on the site. Extracting the stock spring, as shown in the video, was not doable. There was no way I was going to get a punch on that spring from the side hole. Ended up working the stock spring up through the set screw hole with a dental pick. The new M-CARBO spring did fit right in the hole with no problems. I reset the set screw as shown and reassembled. I do not have a trigger pull gage to determine any gains, but in the end did not notice any significant reductions in the trigger pull weight.
Changed the stock spring in my 2020 xbolt pro trigger from 3.5# down 2.25#. Watch the 2nd install video for exact directions.
I bought a Browning Hells Canyon Speed rifle in .308. This was a rifle of a lifetime for me. It didn’t shoot to suit me at all, tried a lot of ammo And gave up. Just happened to see this and thought I would try. It made a world of difference in the accuracy. Went from 3-4-5 inch groups to 1 inch.
I have an X Bolt Long range hunter in 300wm. I like the factory trigger. No take up, no over travel. But it is just a little too heavy. I dropped the M*Carbo spring in and it took the trigger pull weight down far enough for me. I cant find my trigger pull scale right now. But having shot my rifle a bunch last week I can tell you that it is a very noticeable reduction in pull weight. Really glad I didnt spend the extra money on a completely new trigger. Thanks.
Went from 3 1/2" to 2#, I'm delighted. Also very thankful for the videos for getting the original spring out. It still took me longer than the last video, but I did get it done!
Factory X-Bolt trigger at the lowest setting I could get was 3lbs 10oz, with the Mcarbo spring it went all the way down to 2lbs 4oz. So I adjusted it up to 3lbs which is what I prefer in a hunting rifle. Great product!
Great product. Simple installation - 10 minutes to a better trigger. Trigger went from 3lbs 12oz to 2lbs 4oz - awesome!
Received trigger spring within a few days after ordering , great service . After watching video it took all of ten minutes to install . Trigger pull went from 6.5lb down to 2.75lb ,very happy with results .
The spring installed just how it was shown in the available demonstration videos. I was able to get the old spring out through the little front hole without destroying it or needing to separate the trigger assembly from the action. It took my trigger pull down to about 3 pounds. It was worth the low cost and effort for the install. It didn’t cut the pull poundage in half, but it took about a pound off of the original pull weight, so it was easily worth the cost. Nice little upgrade!
Watched the video, install was easy. However, I did not remove the trigger assembly as shown. I simply left it attached to the receiver... I’m at 2 1/2 pounds and it’s perfect.
