The directions were easy to follow. The spring lowered the pull weight on my new Browning X-bolt Hell's Canyon Speed to 2.75 lbs. I shortened the spring just a little, and it lowered the pull weight to 2.25 lbs. Just where I wanted it!
I did not need to remove the trigger assembly to remove the spring. After removing the set screw just press and push the spring towards the front until it is bent forward and stuck. Then if you have a dental pick type of a tool, just grab the spring through the little access hole and pull it out. Please wear eye protection because the spring could come flying out. I love the lighter trigger pull.
I have had 3 X bolts in my safe for a few years that I consider”good” rifles. The only thing holding them back was a good trigger. After considering an expensive drop in trigger I came across this spring kit. I figured I’d try it for the $12.99 price tag. I had it installed in less than 10 minutes. The online video gave excellent instructions and the trigger feels amazing. Now I have 2 more on their way and will have 3 “great” xbolts.
Got the spring 2 days ago. Job done today, following M*Carbo instructions. Adjustable trigger was at minimum 3.5 lbs, now can set it between 2-3.75 Lbs. Recommend it!
I was a little skeptical of cost vs reward but then again I don’t know what I don’t know. I installed the spring and compared it to two other rifles with timney triggers and one with a jewell. I found that the cost of the spring greatly outweighed my skepticism. I ended up taking the entire trigger assembly out per the provided video. I ended up using a small flat head screw driver to collapse the spring through the hole below the trigger. It came out in about 10 seconds. I didn’t really need to disassemble the trigger assembly but learned a couple things doing it. Great product. Well worth the coin spent!
Excellent accompanying video. Spring went in easily and reduced adjustment range as advertised. No complaints. Will recommend to more customers in the future.
Installation was a breeze once I used an awl. Dental pick wasn’t strong enough to pry old spring out. I adjusted trigger to 2.5 lbs. Good product. Thanks for making this product available.
Just wstched the "how to" video ans replace the factory spring in under 5 min easy. Instand trigger pull improvement from 4 lbs to 2.5.
I was concerned that it would be difficult to remove the old spring without damaging it, but it came right out. My trigger pull went from 3.5 lbs to 2.5 lbs. Like other viewers, it took about 20 minutes, but I was testing pull weight multiple times with both springs.

Bought the spring and it arrived within 10 days from the USA which was expected. The quality of the item is excellent and the video to follow make for an easy fit of the spring. I have jewel triggers in my other rifles and I am now delighted with the way the trigger breaks. This is all down to the quality spring from M*CARBO. Thanks Chris.
I was a little hesitant at first, after reading the horror stories from some reviews, when it came time to remove the factory spring, but the new method of removing the trigger assembly made it much easier. Install went smoothly. Trigger pull went from 4lbs to 2.5lbs with the new spring and the set screw returned to the factory height. A couple turns to increase spring tension and it now sets at a very nice 3lbs. There's no reason to waste money on a fancy new trigger, when all you need is the M-CARBO spring.
My new spring has performed as expected and solved the issues I had with the stiff factory x-bolt trigger. Plus the installation was a breeze with all the help from the M CARBO team.

I nearly always replace factory triggers with aftermarket (Jewel, Timney, or TriggerTech). I decided to try changing out the spring instead on my X-bolt. So far - great decision. Trigger now breaks at a crisp 2.3 pounds. Will see how much I like it after a few trips to range - but so far - all good. Installation was quick and easy. 5 minutes complete.
Just fired my X bolt today after installing the new spring. Trigger pull is a smooth 3 pounds with no creep. I would highly recommend this product.
