this spring works as advertised. Instead of spending more $ on a complete trigger replacement, this spring did the trick. I like the browning factory trigger feel anyway, and was able to reduce the minimum factory pull weight even further with this spring. Getting to and removing the factory spring was a little tricky.
This was my 5th Browning X-Bolt trigger spring install. The updated installation video helped, primarily getting the original spring out. Install was relatively quick and I did not take the trigger mechanism off the rifle. Prior to install, trigger pull was 3# 14 oz. After install, it was below 2.5 #, but I added a turn on the screw and left it at 2 lbs. 10 oz. Thanks for a great product. I was going to try a Timney trigger, but found out the bolt unlock on safety will not work after it is installed. This option is way better, as you still have the wider Browning trigger, bolt button function works and save 90% on price.
Perfect spring which gave a super feeling!! If you you don't want to damage the original spring you have to remove the trigger block from the action. It will give you more space to remove the spring without damage.
It was very easy to install and it work great!!!! Thanks now getting another for my other guns!!!!!!
The item works as advertised and lightens the xbolts heavy trigger. Be aware when installing that the first few trigger pulls with the spring may be heavy until it breaks in. After that it's great. This caused a little headache trying to tighten down the screw that I locktited when I installed it. Now that it's in, the adjustment screw has a good amount of engagement and the trigger is consistently 2 1/4 pounds for me. Would buy again.
Great product. After watching the video the spring was easy to install. Trigger on my Hells Canyon is light and crisp. I live in Canada and the spring arrived in just seven days. Thanks MCarbo.
I was very disappointed with the hard “feather trigger” on my Browning X Bolt. After several months trying to get good groups, wasting bullets, powder, time I finally searched the enternet and found out I could replace this little sear spring! It was simple to replace, now tight groups! Thanks MCarbo
I talked this and my trigger went from 3.8 to 1.4lbs, was gonna order a drop in trigger and this kit saved me some $$$
Super easy installation, the trigger pull is exactly how I want it now. Amazing and affordable fix for what I thought was a very heavy "adjustable feather trigger" from the factory. Thanks for a great product!
The video instruction is spot on in every aspect. The old spring came out exactly as shown on video. Installed set screw with two threads exposed. Trigger before was 3.7 Lb avg. After install was 2.2 avg. Perfect results and done in around 20 minutes.
Good stuff , does what is advertised . Great customer service
This spring certainly lived up to the hype. The factory trigger on the X-bolt Hells Canyon will only drop to about 3.5lbs and at that adjustment, it's not very consistent either. Spring replacement was easy and i set the trigger up for 2.5lbs which is a good hunting weight pull. I'm sure i could have safely brought it below 2lbs but that wasn't the goal. Unlike the factory spring, trigger now breaks consistently at 2.5lbs every time. Great product!
There was a slight decrease in weight of pull, trigger was already smooth and fairly light for a factory Browning trigger. The install was straight forward, easily accomplished with a set of cheap Harbor Freight dental picks. I used my trigger guage before and after and saw a decrease of less than 1lb. For me to be able to get my trigger into the sub 4lb range requires me to leave over half of the threads showing on the set screw, I was not comfortable with that, so I went to the 2 threads suggested and trigger weight was approximately 4 1/2lbs.
The spring is perfect. Cheap, fast, easy way to get an incredible trigger without spending a lot of money.
Easy to follow instructions, took over 1 pound of trigger pull from stock spring (stock spring was an average of 3lbs 11 oz for 5 pulls, new spring was 2lbs 10 oz for 5 pulls)
