Review
Super easy to install, and WOW what a difference. It has changed the rifle from fairly accurate to a tack driver!
Just saved $150 by installing this spring myself, over a Timney trigger. This is awesome. Trigger went from very good to great. Lighter pull than stock, what's not to like? Took maybe 20 minutes tops. Just do it.
The replacement spring is an excellent choice for those of us that want a lighter trigger pull without losing any functionality.
Very easy to install and turned a good trigger into a great one.
this is the easiest way to fix the trigger on a Browning gun. replacing the spring, makes the trigger much lighter and it is super fast to do. i have done this on 4 different rifles and each time has been flawless and works great.
Went from a disgusting feeling 4lb trigger to a crisp and pleasant 2 lb trigger. Unreal for the money.
After replacing spring the trigger sear would not engage with the sear. Gun would fire after bolting the gun. I was sent another spring and it made no difference. I was told the problem was overspray but there is no overspray on the internals. Even with spring set to the heaviest pull(all the way in) the gun is still unsafe and would fire upon bolting. I had to order a Timney trigger since I bent factory spring following the video for installing the new spring. If you try this process, make sure you are careful to keep original spring intact incase you have similar issues.
This spring worked exactly as described. Lower my x bolts triggers from 4 lbs 1 oz and 3lbs 15 oz down to 2 lbs 15 oz and 2 lbs 8oz. Any future xbolt I own will be getting this upgrade
Great replacement ! easy installation! Fantastic results!!!!
I was little dubious of the difference a single spring could make in my X-Bolt (Long Range Hunter, 300 Win Mag). The factory trigger has a nice feel and break but is a bit heavy to make a good, precise shot. I looked at 3rd party triggers, watched the M*Carbo video on the spring and decided to risk a little bit of money. Turns out that was not a risk but a great value! I now have a sub-2 pound pull on my trigger, but it retained the crispness of the factory trigger. Installation takes a bit of effort, the worst for me was actually getting the barreled action to separate from the stock, but the video shows the details needed to complete the job. From start to finish I installed the spring in just over 5 minutes. Overall I could not be happier with the purchase and the difference in my trigger. I've done a number of drop tests and the like and have not had any issues with safety. If you are somewhat handy the installation is not bad at all. All in all I say buy with confidence and don't feel like this spring is gambling - it's the real deal!
I ordered the kit on Monday and received it on Thursday. Can't get better service than that!
Excellent product as I have come to expect from Mcarbo made my trigger pull very light and crisp!
It took some ingenuity to get the Browning springs out, but a bent pin in the shape of a J and some pliers finally got it out. I did not get the trigger pull reduction to below 3 lbs., but did get significant reduction compared to the factory trigger. I put these on 2 of my X Bolts and plan to do the other 2. Much crisper trigger pull for me. Thanks
Holy cow the difference this makes is huge. It’s almost scary how light the trigger pull is now for $12.
Everyone who owns an X Bolt and has ever thought about lightening the trigger pull needs this. I could not get the gun to do anything much under 4 lbs, I put this spring in and it got me right where I wanted to be...2.75 lbs. I could have gone lower, but I wanted 2.75 lbs. Great product, thanks guys.
Order the spring kit and watch the video. It took 5 minutes for me to change my Browning Xbolt trigger from a non adjustable 3.8 to 4.2 lbs. to a smooth 2.5 lbs. for $15. It doesn’t get much better than that!!!
