Review
Relatively simple installation, factory spring was a bit tough to get out. Great instructional videos, very noticeable trigger pull reduction, highly recommended. No problems with shipping. Great communication and follow up. Excellent job MCarbo!
Just put it in my eclipse and I am completely satisfied trigger pull weight before was 3.5-4.0 lbs after installing the pull weight was averaging 1lb 10 oz big difference very happy definitely recommend it for anyone with an X-Bolt
I fitted the spring to my X-Bolt, today, and was pleasantly surprised at the results obtained. I was not able to extract the factory spring as shown on the Youtube Clip, but easily extracted the factory spring through the tension grub screw hole. The M*CABO trigger spring dropped straight in and it turned the so called " factory feather-lite trigger" (NOT!), with a pull of 3-3 1/2 lbs at its lightest setting(no tension adjusting screw); into one that feels light and crisp, with a pull of 2lb; tension screw in place. Nice! Now I need to try it on the range where the difference, I am sure, will be markedly noticeable. The test result obtained were from an average being obtained from 10 tests each, before and after, the M*CABO spring was fitted. MAKE: Browning X-Bolt TYPE: Stainless Steel Stalker with fluted barrel CALIBRE: 300 Win Mag TEST DEVICE: Timney Trigger manual trigger pull gauge (not digital) AVERAGE FACTORY SPRING RELEASE: 3.06lb AVERAGE M*CABO SPRING RELEASE: 1.94lb - See attached results Thank-you! Kindest Regards, Sincerely Yours, Bruce Daff
This got my trigger down to 2lbs! Very simple installation! Can't beat the price for what you get out of it! Thanks, MCARBO
OEM on lightest setting was 4.5lbs. Installed this spring, was able to easily obtain desired 2.5lbs. A little pricey for a single spring, but was worth it since they did their homework and got it right. Still way less expensive than an aftermarket trigger.
Awesome replacement spring! Reduced trigger pull dramatically! MCarbo shipped right away, shipment arrived quickly, product works great, and their follow up/customer service have been exceptional! Would highly recommend!
Works great. Factory trigger put was around 3.5 -4.5 lbs. installed the spring and adjusted 2.25 lbs.
Installed spring worked fine! Took to tange fired about 30 rds. Cleaned and put gun away. Few days later took out and cycled bolt now gun will not stay cocked . Every time I send bolt home it decks itself. Took rifle apart and had to tight spring setscrew to get gun to stay cocked now trigger is back to original setting
I have two of these and they work great. Watch the video and they are super simple to install. Takes 5-10 mins. Trigger is great way better than spending $200 on a drop in trigger replacement...
This took about 10 minutes total time to bring the trigger pull from about 3.5# down to 2.25# . Be sure to watch the video Chris provides before jumping into the project. Very easy, safe fix for what is otherwise a good trigger system.
Kit was simple to install. Trigger went from 4lbs. to 2lbs 8oz. Great product.
A little tricky getting the old spring out , but was well worth the effort! Trigger breaks at a crisp 1.5 lbs now!
This is the second Xbolt trigger spring I have installed. Very easy job and results are awesome. On this last one I installed, dropped the pull weight from 3.5 (max adjustment) to 2 lbs. I adjusted to 2.5 which is what I prefer for my hunting rifles. Thanks for a great Xbolt trigger alternative.
Installed the MCARBO trigger spring and took my trigger pull down under 2 lbs. and watching the MCARBO video on the browning Xbolt was very helpful.
Purchased two of these spring for my X-Bolt and my brothers as well. Easy installation. Trigger pull is now very nice and crisp. I didn’t put a gauge to it but easily a 50% reduction in trigger pull weight. Very pleased and would recommend.
Good reduction from 4# 3oz to 2# 6oz. Not very complicated to do but watch updated video. Another suggestion is before you unpin trigger assembly to tape the bolt safety release acctuation pin to the trigger body so that it stays in proper position. Makes reassembly much easier. Then after reassembly remove the small peice of tape.
