Good evening, Just wanted to say I am truly amazed at the turn around time for delivery of my order. The products I ordered are very high quality are already installed. Retro fitting the recoilless spring adapter was a challenge but I found your video instructions to be very concise and helpful. I also ordered the sling mount with the sling and the recoil buffer ring and they were easily installed. I appreciate the quality, service and the made in America your company represents.. I will highly recommend you guys, keep up the good work. America needs more companies to operate like M*CARBO… Thanks, Jon
If there was any one modification to make this the one. The OEM charging handle is painful to use due to the lack of surface area and since this makes it easier to charge you can load the weapon quietly which may be life or death.
I added this along with the recoil buffer and it made a huge difference. The felt recoil has been reduced significantly. I'm happy I put it in, however the installation took me awhile and a couple tries. I watched the videos but still had trouble changing out the end of the spring. The original cap came off and I had a real challenge getting enough tension on the spring to put everything back where it belonged. It was all worth the trouble in the end..

I honestly could not feel much reduction in recoil on my 9mm. The concept is plausible; adding mass to slightly slow the bolt. It does this but any beneficial effect is countered by increasing the mass of the reciprocating bolt which increases felt recoil. To reduce recoil you want to add mass to the rifle, but not to the parts that move during the action cycle. I still like this enlarged bolt handle as it greatly improves grip to cycle the action.
Install video doesn't reflect updated product making install for some difficult, I was able to figure out what needed be done and installed. Like other reviews left on this order service needs assistance.
The hardware looks of quality material. Removing the OEM hardware was easy enough. After a couple of tries to get the Pin in the Charging Handle's hole, I put the gun upside down, had the pin on the spring in a the down position and pushed the spring in until the pin was showing in the opening where the charging handle goes in, The spring had rotated the pin slightly, so a twisted on the spring until the pin was in the down position, then backed the spring out just enough that the pin was not showing, then I put the charging handle in the opening, and once down I pushed the spring in and hit against the the charging handle stem, I then pulled up slightly and the pin engaged into the hole in the stem. Putting pressure on the spring and lightly twisting the charging knob I could tell the pin was seated properly., then close it back up. Using this handle is much easier than the OEM one. Next is to take it to the range.
No brainer installation. Opted to omit the retaining bolt now being offered to see how things go. Not really wanting to deal with it whenever I remove bolt for cleaning. Certainly a valued addition to my Sub2K along with buffer and shoulder pad. Results were as promised. Another well designed product from MCarbo.
It worked great and made a world of difference.
I tested this just recently on my gen2 sub2000. I didn't bother with the locating nub it came with (putting it on the spring was just too hard) but it worked just fine without it so long as you make sure to locate the spring on the flat surface of the handle as indicated in the online instructions. And yes, it did reduce felt recoil significantly. And it was cheaper than the extra heavy bolt offered directly from Kel tec (and available). It is a simple solution to prevent (or at least reduce) those little marks left on your shoulder after an extended shooting session with your sub2000. Five stars for simplicity and ease of use.
Watching the video was very helpful in installing the charge handle and spring locking pin. Installing the charge handle was easy, installing the locking pin on the spring was a challenge but it worked as describe. The charge handle is much easier to operate then the stock charge handle.
Quality engineered replacement parts at a great price. Well edited video's make for a smooth installation for any skill level. Will purchase additional components in the future.
I received the Kel-Tec Sub-2000 Recoilless Charging Handle quickly after placing my order. The part is well-made and heavier then expected. I plan to have Kel-Tec do the installation of the charging handle along with several other parts from MCARBO.
Just installed the recoilless charging handle. Works great. It makes it very easy for follow up shots. All the parts I've installed on the sub 2k have been extremely high quality, well engineered and basically plug and play. Thanks Chris

I installed this on my sub-2000 40 cal and it installs very easy and to work well. would I buy it again yes. I just picked up the sub-2000 9mm
