This was an easy swap out and even though I have done limited shooting since, I do think it helps with felt recoil! And it has made charging the gun much easier!!
Makes charging easier
Product arrived quickly. Commo between seller and buyer was excellent. Initial video for install did not reference the stainless steel retaining piece. Was an early video because it referenced the recoil buffer as an item that was coming out. Figured the install out after the handle spun 360 and could be pulled down without the additional piece. After I installed the retaining piece, the handle was good to go, no rotating and secure in position. I eventually found the video that addressed the added retaining piece. Can't assess the recoil reduction until I shoot at the range, hence the 4 Star rating. Recommend you update your video install to include all the parts that come with the handle or add a set of written instructions. Called and received a call back from Customer Service about my install. Problem had been solved but good to know that Customer Service is alive and well at M*CARBO. Have several products on my SUB-2000 from M*CARBO, all are high quality and function as advertised
Much easier install than I thought it would be, very good installation video to follow. The product performs excellent.
Ordered all three for my Gen 2 Subby, and actually do feel less recoil while shooting. I also found it to be easier to operate when charging the action,and the tube cover does not obstruct my cheek weld, and does help with continuous fire. As for the buffer, I really can't say much. Its a buffer, so I'm sure its helping by buffering the bolt. All in all, I'm happy with the quality, and do notice a difference in its ability too hold it on target better, but when putting that piece on the recoil , I felt like I was screwing something up, but then it went together, so that is difficult, but can be done.
High quality Part. Durable finish. Does reduce recoil a bit. biggest advantage for me is that it makes operating the charging system on the riffle, a lot more manageable. Fast shipping. Excellent customer service. Great response time.
Despite the M*Carbo installation video on YouTube this is an extremally difficult, if not impossible for some, accessory to install on your Sub 2000. The video even suggests if you have difficulty send it to them at a price to be determined and they will do the install. The installation is not only frustrating but painful on the fingers.
I went with this handle rather than the skeletonized version. Glad I did, it really mitigates the recoil of the weapon. The tool less feature makes sure the spring lines up and catches the handle perfectly. These items make the gun feel more reliable and the materials of the parts are well machined in metal. They help turn the Sub 2000 into a more reliable weapon.
Makes a claim of "Reduces felt recoil by 68% on your SUB-2000!" This was not the case for me there was almost no noticed reduced recoil. Like some of there other items I think this is just a bluff. I purchased $300 worth of Mcarbo parts including the Trigger performance kit and saw little to no benefit with any of their upgrades and with several emails and photos back and forth with the tech's they offered me a $27 refund. $27 dollar refund on a $300 purchase. What a joke.
Struggled to install video was easy to follow
Easy to install, more comfortable charging, I noticed easy follow up shots and tighter groupings. Awsome upgrade!
Recoil reducing charge handle helps with the felt recoil from the original, after installing you can really tell a difference. Also makes the operation of the rifle much easier!
Lonathan here to say the product deserves more stars and my 1 star mishap was a mistake. Get this great upgrade!
Great functionality. Easy on the fingers and most importantly additional weight helps with recoil. Paired with all recoil reduction modification provided with m*carbo.
