Review
I watched the whole video, which may be long, but the detail in the video made it take a total of 90 seconds on my first try. Thanks for the video and a great part!
He's not joking when he says wear your eye pro for this. I undid the cap and it shot right in between my eyes with enough force to break the skin. Now my wire rod is all the way down in the spring and I have to figure out how to compress it like this.
I have to admit that I needed to watch the installation video to install the pin into the recoil spring, it made the process much easier. I have 2 KelTek sub 2K carbines, I purchased this charging handle for one and went to compare with the stock charging handle. To be honest, I never thought recoil on the rifle was an issue, but the weighted charging handle did make a difference. As an added bonus, I am a left handed shooter and the gases coming out of the stock rifle were annoying to point that I would shoot it right handed. The weighted charging handle seemed to reduce the ejection port gasses to an unnoticeable level! Win, Win. I will be ordering another for the second carbine.
MCARBO hits it out of the park with this one! I paired this with the recoil buffer and that small child that was punching me in shoulder is GONE! Follow up shots are easier, recoil is almost non-existent. The feel of this handle compared to the stock one is night and day. No more pinching, no rough edges. Very solid piece. If you are on the fence on this one, JUST BUY IT!
The install, as as advertised, is a pain in the a$$. More so if you don't have great handstrength or patience with the spring. Watch the install video, especially when it comes to the trick with installing the locking pin on the spring end. Just accept youre probably not going to get it first attempt unless you have strong and agile hands. Took me 4 or 5 attempts and some improvised tools before I got it. After you finish it, well worth it. Serious difference in recoil feel and zero concerns about the handle falling out in a competition or defensive situation when you can't afford for a failure.
Quality products as well as quick shipping. Now I'm eye balling the flat trigger and spring kit, where do you stop, ha ha!
Feels good when charging the weapon and helps felt recoll , thanks
Good product but charging handle did choke up as I thought. Took a few tries unlike YouTube video to get screw set. Added a little weight but only ounces. I added this charging handle with the muzzle break and the washer. Worked like a charm. To me reducing recoil is better then lowering the tigger weight but only my opinion. Helped with felt recoil and muzzle rise. Making reaquiring the target for my second shot and beyond easier. Would recommend to but as a set. Didn’t try without the break and washer.
Watched video (which was also great) and had charging handle and locking pin installed in 10 min. Took longer to fire up laptop, find web site, and startup video. As usual I find that I can trust M*CARBO to produce excellent products and deliver them on time. Praying this next year will be prosperous for the guys at M*CARBO!
Installation was super easy until I got to the locking pin. Didn’t have the proper grease to hold the pin on the screw driver so it took me awhile and a few special words to get the pin in place.
Definitely noticed a reduction in recoil while at the range. My red dot hardly jumps around at all when shooting. Great product.
Arrived fast and installed easy using the installation videos! Felt a reduction in felt recoil, gun still ran flawlessly.
I installed the Recoilless Charging Handle and the Recoil Buffer this morning and took it out for a quick test. I should have tried each of the items separately to see what each one does by itself, but I have no self control and wanted to shoot. They lessen the felt recoil enough to make it easy to get back on target fast. Great products as always. The best customer service you can get.
Easier to grip to pull the bolt back. Don't know him much better the recoil reduction is as I never fired the rifle without it. The little silver retaining piece is a PIA to install due to the size...but works as advertised.
Hats off to the folks at MCarbo. This little upgrade greatly reduces recoil on sub 2000. I have the . 40 Smith and Wesson and she packed a punch before install this charging handle. It's easily installed. Only difficult thing is compressing the spring. Feels good after install and rapid fire doesn't bounce around nearly as much. Thanks guys. Well made product.
Much more comfortable feeling charging handle. I added a heavier bolt from the manufacturer at the same time. I can't be certain how much difference this made, but between the two it was really noticeable.
