The charging handle seems great but the small screw is a pain to get in. I got it there and it is solid. I like that.
Absolutely perfect. Does exactly as advertised. One tip of advise to people installing. Follow the video as instructed but for me after staking the recoil spring with the Allen key. I could not manipulate holding the second Allen key to remove/replace to end cap. So I improvised and got a small pair of vise grips. I pulled down on the spring with the second Allen key and clamped one side of the rod with the vise grips to hold the spring down and it was super easy to twist and untwist the end caps on and off. Highly recommend using a pair of vise grips to hold the second/final spring pull down (when removing/installing locking end cap).
I have several MCarbo upgrades and they were simple to install and worked as advertised. This was not. I had problems with the recoil spring which mates to the charging the handle. The lug on the end of the spring jumped across the room and I couldn't get the assembly back together. I took it to a local gunsmith and they got the lug back onto the spring, but the charging handle would bottom out before it could retract all the way. I sent it to MCarbo. Zach and I worked through several issues. As it turns out, the recoil spring was slightly out of tolerance from the Kel-Tec factory. Zach ordered the new spring and got the rifle back to me quickly. I really don't believe that I would have a functioning rifle without Zach's initiative and his relationship with Kel-Tec. I love how MCarbo gives you an expert single point of contact to work with. Quite refreshing in this day. P.S. I ordered the compact muzzle brake and recoil buffer as well. The recoil is much less now. I installed the taller sights which also helped as it takes your face off the receiver tube when firing.
I bought this recoiless charging handle along with M*CARBO’s muzzle device and recoil buffer. I installed all of these parts at the same time, and the felt recoil was almost non-existent. The recoiless charging handle was very easy to install, especially with the online instruction videos. It is very well made and has a very nice feel to it. It is a very nice upgrade over the stock charging handle. I highly recommend this product for your Kel-Tex Sub2000!
This easy to install improvement changes the recoil management of the sub 2000 more than I ever imaged. I'm so happy with this purchase! You can't go wrong with a quality part like this, that performs and is reasonably priced!
Easy installation and gives a solid feel
Having a split/holding screwdriver is more than helpful. They should sell them with the kit. Or separately but still a great product.
I hated the stock charging handle for my sub 2000 but this makes charging it soooo much easier...no more sore finger
Debated between this handle and the double one ... I think this will do what I need and looks better on the gun. The original handle was too small, pinched and made charging almost impossible for me (small female). Haven't fired the gun with it installed yet but charging is easier and you have a much better grip on the handle.
Really makes a difference, more great work MCARBO!
I bought this along with the muzzlebreak and after I installed both it gave my Sub2000 a great new look and feel! Can't wait to go test it out! Definitely recommend to any Sub2000 owner!
Extremely easy to install, much easier to charge and significantly less recoil. Fast shipping and quality is excellent.
Easy to Install, it worked and just feels beefy.
This is what the cocking knob should be! It’s weighty, I also installed the receiver tube cover and buffer at the same time. Easy easy easy.
I was amazed how much of an immediate difference this made to the gun’s operation. Makes it much easier to pull back on the charging handle and helps reduce felt recoil. Easy install. Home run here, guys!!!
Absolutely the best addition to my Sub so far! Very easy to charge. Feels great and doesn't hurt your finger like the OEM. Combine with the buffer and it's buttery smooth to shoot.
