Recently bought a Savage Axis for a cheaper mountain rifle. Great gun for the price, but the trigger weight and wobble definitely reflect the price of the gun. The pro trigger kit is the perfect way to fix both. Installs in just minutes and makes the trigger pull feel like its a compltely different gun. Worth every penny!
This is the first upgrade, other than a scope I have done to my Axis. I am overjoyed at the reduction in pull from almost 7 lbs down 4.7 lbs and very smooth. The install was easy except for the 2 shims on the trigger pin--but mission accomplished.
This is the third Mcarbo trigger spring kit I have installed on my rifles. The latest one is on my Daughters 22/250. These kits are very easy to install. Watch the video on installation, and go do it. Trigger pull was reduced from 6.5 lbs to 3.1 lbs and is smooth as silk. Thanks to the Mcarbo brotherhood, my Daughter has a very nice shooting Axis 22/250 !!
Made this purchase with excellent results. Shipped fast and very easy installation to the Axis .270. Amazing difference from stock 6 pound pull to around 3.8 pounds. Your first words following the change will be “WOW”.
Bought 2 Savage Axis rifles in .223 at WalMart for a coyote hunting trip with my son. Reviews said that Axis rifles shoot great if you can deal with the heavy sloppy trigger, so we dealt with it; the guns did shoot great, but the triggers were heavy and sloppy. Well, NOW, we don't have to deal with the heavy sloppy trigger anymore. This simple kit makes the basic trigger on a Savage Axis rifle light, smooth, & crisp. Remarkable! I have ordered kits for my Rugers (Mini, M77 Mark II, and American).

After receiving my package and reading the nice note that came with my product. I decided to leave a review. This is absolutely the best trigger upgrade you could ever do on an axis. It’s better and smoother than the accutrigger and takes around 15 minutes to install. If they decide to make more parts for my rifle I’ll be first in line for sure. Installed this kit and now trigger pull is less then 3 lbs. Nice clean break no wobble after installing washers. This kit is a must have to improve the performance of a Savage axis
I have a Savage Axis in .223 I bought several years ago for my kids. It was on sale and not a bad shooter for an entry level rifle. My Kids have since moved on to shooting other rifles so I decided to tinker with it. Keeping in mind you can buy a new Axis for around 300 bucks I didn't want to pour money into it. So I sanded the stock a bit so it no longer contacted the barrel and wanted to do something for the trigger. It has a very heavy pull from the factory. Saw this kit for 20.00 and figured it couldn't hurt to try it. I have never done any trigger work before. The video is excellent. Took about 30 minutes and that includes gathering the few tools necessary and watching the video. Big improvement over the heavy factory trigger. Very happy.
No play in trigger, crisp break. Lighter, but not too light to be a danger.
First off I bought the cheap savage axis for my kids to shoot and the factory trigger would have been impossible for them to accurately shoot the rifle. After a few minutes the install of the replacement trigger was complete and the trigger feels so smooth. The feel of an expensive aftermarket trigger but without the big price tag! Thanks for making a great product!
I've never had a rifle trigger this light, but iv'e slammed this thing trying to get it to fire ( empty gun of course) and it will not without pulling the trigger. I may wind up finding a slightly stiffer spring for it eventually but it gonna be fun on the range for now. well worth the $20.
