Found out about this kit watching upgrades for my axis trigger on line, single best improvement for your rifle, I prefer it over the accu triggers.
Wonderfully designed product. Crisp clean trigger pull and shim kit did the trick for the slop in the trigger. Fast easy install. Nailed it on this one fellas. Highly recommend this kit!
The video was great and I installed the 2.5 lb. spring. I could only fit one washer on the trigger. What a difference!! Thanks!
Pro kit does better than they advertise
Have bought several m CARBO products and have been pleased bought 3 different kits for guns in one order and the axis pro kit the over travel screw will not work in the newer axis rifles tried installing and the hole for over travel screw is no longer threaded so the kit is therefore useless I bought and cannot be installed great products this just needs revised for changes
Great kit and upgrade from the factory Axis trigger. Install was painless and trigger pull is almost half of what it was. The Axis is a accurate rifle. This trigger kit just tightens it up. Quick ship and tracking. Thanks!
The new Axis rifles (as of October 2024 at least) do not have a threaded hole for the overtravel screw provided in the pro kit. The new stock Axis 1 return spring has an elongated end that fits in the hole to stabilize the spring. See the attached picture of the new Axis return spring. The pro kit needs the threaded overtravel screw to stabilize the pro kit's return springs. I tried to thread the hole in the trigger with a 10-48 tap and it broke in the hole. Time for a new accutrigger assembly.
Awesome product. Had a 6.5 lb trigger on a savage axis my buddy bought. He wanted me to get it down to a better weight. Naturally I started looking at drop in triggers but ran across this kit and figured what the hell for $20 let's try it. Needless to say I am very pleased with the results. Brought the trigger pull down to a consistent 2.25 lbs a little honing to remove a rough spot on the sear and it's just as good as the high price drop in triggers. Been doing this business for over 60 years and have built 15 axis rifles the past two years for family and friends not because they are cheap but because they shoot tight groups with little to no work. Started out building my own triggers but then found the pro trigger and now life got even better. Simple install and the results are as good as the $250 plus triggers. Just redid two earlier builds that shoot sub minute groups with factory ammo and with the 2.5lb spring they got smaller. Thank you Brothers
The heavy trigger on the Axis was affecting the accuracy for my 12 year old son. This kit made a dramatic improvement and we can't wait to try it out. The video was a great guide. Too bad more companies don't have a user guide like that. The current rating is 4.97 stars. Maybe I can get it to 4.98.
Great product easy to instal.
I ordered this kit shortly after I bought my Savage Axis in .308. I measured the trigger pull and got almost 6 lbs. This is not acceptable. With the promise of a much better pull, I ordered the kit. I finally got the chance to install it. The pull went from almost 6 lbs to 3 1/2. With my rudimentary math skills, I figure that's about a 35% improvement, and the side to side play is gone. I'm very impressed. The video instructions were a big help. Thanks guys.
After a quick response and shipment, I received the kit in the mail. I reviewed the video and did the installation and it was very straightforward. Trigger is so much better on the Axis now and I actually prefer it to an Accutrigger. Great product that delivers.
Very fast shipping. Ordered on Mon and received on Fri. I live several states away. Very important to watch video on install before attempting. Install was simple and went very smooth. Trigger pull breaks clean with no overtravel and doesn't wiggle anymore. I ordered two and both rifles are finished and ready to take to the range. Thanks for great service and a great product!!!!!!
