Bought this to replace the awful trigger Savage puts on their Axis rifles. Went from a 5 1/2# trigger pull to a 3# pull in about 10minutes with no problems at all. Quick shipping as well. This is a great company to work with
I was very happier with the ease of installation, as well as the end result of the trigger kit for my Savage Axis. Before the upgrade, my trigger was at an awful 6#. The installation took no more than 20 minutes, and afterward, is consistent at <3#. Prior to finding the trigger kit on-line, I was looking at spending $125+ for a replacement trigger. So glad I found the M*CARBO kit. If you are wondering whether this kit is worth it? I say definitely.
This kit dropped my pull weight to exactly 3.0 lbs! Super easy to install! Can’t wait to run some rounds through it with this new setup!
The original trigger spring felt like I was holding a bottle of Heinz ketchup...the anticipation...the M*Carbo pro trigger kit, is like an ice cold Shiner, clean and crisp! installed it just like they said and no further adjustments were needed. I recently won a Savage Axis and upon picking it up was very dissatisfied with the stock non accu trigger. After seaching for alteratives I discovered this product. It was very easy to install this kit and the differance was huge. Eveybody I know that has an Axis is coverting their triggers as well. In one week of owning the pro kit I have ordered and installed 2 more for friends and family. I actually just finished ordering my 4th pro kit. I can and do recommend this kit without hesitation. Thank you for a great product that will be helping fill tags and freezers this fall.
After seeing this on Youtube I ordered this product and within 3 days I was installing it. It was a very simple and easy installation and dropped my tripper pull to a consistent 3.6 . Thanks MCARBO for giving my Savage Axis a Custom Trigger job.
After installing the 4 1/2 # spring I was pleased with how much it improved the trigger pull until I went hunting with it, I loaded a bullet in the chamber as soon as I turned the safety off the gun shot without touching the trigger, luckily no one got killed but it was damaging to our ears. As soon as I got home I put the factory spring back in. Please test your springs you may have a bad batch.

Savage Axis .350 Legend. Kit was extremely easy to install with exception of the washers. ended up leaving them out. The factory trigger pull was terrible, which you are aware of if you are looking at this product. I installed the 2.5 lb spring and it is now very light and crisp. If you are looking for a better trigger on your Axis rifle I do recommend this one.
My rifle came with a 9 lb trigger pull, it now has a 2 1/2 lb with no over travel, no side wiggle, smooth as silk. AWESOME!
Received trigger kit for savage axis 25-06 fast and well packaged. After watching video installed in ten minutes and set targets up to shoot. Trigger is much smoother and I tightened all groups to two inches at 200 yards shooting off bags with four different bullets from day before. Considering my anticipated flinch and 73 year old eyes that's good enough for coyotes in southern Iowa. I'm not a savage lover but I guess this old cheap gun can ride in tractor a while longer. Thanks guys!
Awesome kit! Looked at the Youtube vids about cutting the OEM spring. But for 20 bucks and doing it right, it was a no brainer. In addition to the new spring, adding the shims to take up the lateral trigger movement make it operated like a dream. Hats off to M*CARBO for putting together such a quality kit!

This is a well made kit that substantially reduces trigger pull weight. It will not take out creep or grit felt in the trigger pull before installing the kit. My Savage Axis .223 with hard wood stock didn't have enough side play to fit in both shims. I did install one of the shims which made for a wobble free trigger. The grease provided is outstanding. I'm going to use the left over grease to lube my 1911s and M1a.
I was shooting an Accu-Trigger Savage with a Boyd's stock with an underpowered scope and couldn't get consistent groups. I realized I was pulling some of the shots because of how the stock trigger was breaking combined with the rest I was using. I ordered the spring replacement kit and installed the 2.5lb spring. Problem solved. Shooting consistent 1/2 MOA groups now with the same scope and rest set up. The break is actually 2 5/16lbs on the scale. Word of advice if using a Boyd's stock: You can't screw the spring all the way down tight so that a few thousandths protrudes from the backside. Your bolt and safety will be immovable when you tighten everything down. Make sure the backend of the spring is no further than flush with the bar it's screwed into! I think you can relieve the stock by making a small indentation with a drill or Dremel, but it's much easier just to properly adjust the spring before locking it all back down. Buy this and enjoy the grin that covers your face after squeezing off a round or two at the range after using your stock trigger for awhile. You can go maybe 3/4lb lighter with a Rifle Basix for $100+ more, but why would you want to if not shooting competition? This is the way to go!
