I just bought my first bolt gun and the trigger seemed a little stiff. I have been shooting pistols and semi auto rifles for a while and most of my guns have light triggers. This kit gives me the fee I need in my trigger. It was a breeze to install. I’ve obviously never taken apart a bolt gun before, but their YouTube video made installation so easy.
I purchased a Savage Axis 22-250 for my son to hunt whitetail. The stock trigger was shootable but just needed a little something. This kit was easy to install and the improvement was noticable. As you can see, Success! Smoked him. Neck shot.

When I ordered this was little skeptical would be of much quality. After recieving trigger kit I was more than pleased with it, fit precisely took all side play out if trigger and did it ever lighten up the trigger. I am happy with this upgrade and will be purchasing from here again
I just finished my third Savage Axis pro kit install for some of my friends. All three turned out great, no side slack after shims installed, trigger pulls are excellent. The 1st. one broke at 3.68 lbs., second one at 1.14 lbs, the third I have to polish trigger group to get 3.76 lbs. but it was at 6.45 lbs. to start and was just a nasty, gritty trigger to start with. This is without question the fastest, safiest way to get a extremely improved trigger pull.
Having a good trigger on any gun is absolutely essential. The Savage Axis trigger is functional, however if you don't want a 6.5 lb gritty and sloppy trigger then don't buy this kit. The install of this kit took all of about 15 minutes and changed the 6.5 lb to a sub 3 with a smooth break. I will admit while I had the trigger off the gun I did run a stone across the sear and the trigger contact faces to smooth out the finish. After doing so, the 2.5 spring in the kit actually test at 2 lbs so I put in the 3.5 spring which has a 2.8 lb trigger pull. Perfect for precise shots! Saved over $100 when compared to the trigger replacement from the other well known outfit. Thanks again MCarbo!
This upgrade is easy to install. I love the inclusion of the shims to eliminate the lateral play in the trigger. My son's rifle is significantly improved.
I bought the kit for a standard Axis (without Accu-Trigger) and installed the lightest spring. I was building a wildcat custom and had to do better than the 7 lb factory trigger. Dropped this bad boy in and when I got everything finish3d and back together, I found I now have a 1 3/4 lb pull weight!! Best part is there's zero creep or overtravel! Why would I ever want to pay 8X what I paid for this kit for an aftermarket trigger replacement?? This will tirn your $350 rifle into something special!
So glad I found these guys, purchased this inexpensive rifle with a crunchy 7 lbs trigger. Dropped the Mcarbo kit in and in just minutes turned it into a crisp 2.5lbs joy! Thanks for a great product!
After installing the 2.5 lbs. spring and shooting my savage 308 I now have bullets touching at 100 yard shots.
This completely changes your trigger pull. You go from “damn, this sucks.” To “damn, Did I touch it?”, and I only put the 3.5lb spring in.. so I’m sold!
Bought a Savage Axis 6.5 Creedmoor for my 13yrold daughter to hunt with. Loved the rifle except for the AWEFUL HEAVY trigger. Installed the MCARBO kit and it is a TOTAL GAME CHANGER!! Turns an aweful trigger into one that is light, crisp & breaks like glass!! Watched the MCARBO install video as well, and made short easy work of the install. MCARBO has my respect and business from now on!!
All three of my young sons shoot the Savage Axis and our only real complaint has been the heavy pull and side-to-side slop of the stock Axis trigger. I installed the M Carbo trigger kit on each of their Axis rifles, and it has been a game changer. The installation video is simple to follow and the whole process took less than 10 minutes per rifle. The trigger pull is now smooth and crisp, and the side-to-side slop is nearly non-existent. I highly recommend this trigger kit to anyone with a Savage Axis. Thank you for such a great product!!
Super easy to install. They sent a follow-up email with links to installation videos, which I thought was excellent customer service. Thought it was really cool that the packaging had a target in it and came with a sticker. The little details in their customer service was pretty sweet.
The kit came unbelievably quick. It only took 7 business days to arrive in my mailbox in Australia. Very impressed. I followed the YouTube installation video and it was as easy as it was made out to be, taking only 10 minutes to install. The shims take almost all of the play out of the factory Savage Axis trigger. The spring is firm enough to be comfortable that the gun won't fire when I don't want it to, but light enough to fire without pulling the rifle off target, and the overtravel screw was easily adjusted to all but eliminate any overtravel. I highly recommend this product, I really can't fault it .
M?CARBO is doing what all Americans want to do. They're making great products at a fair price and supporting those who watch over us, un-noticed and under-appreciated. The trigger kit was perfect, installed in minutes and made an inexpensive gun much more accurate (for about $20). Could you ask for more? Keep it up M?CARBO!
