I’m only running the 3.5lb spring and love this trigger. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade.
Just received my trigger upgrade kit. Quick install of less then 15 minutes and is smooth. The shims really help the bit of factory wobble. Great price, great product, and quick install times. Highly recommend.
I purchased this kit to turn my Axis' gritty, nasty 7 pound trigger pull into something actually usable. The Pro Trigger Kit came highly recommended on my forum of choice, so I bit the bullet and bought a kit. Once it arrived, I used M*CARBO's installation video and it went in without a hiccup. They advertised a 3.5 pound trigger pull after install, but I was amazed when mine broke at just over 2 pounds! It's almost telepathic now, and I couldn't be more pleased with this kit.
The instructional videos helped a lot..My Savage Axis pull is lighter, but most of all smoother..Money well spent. Thanks Arnie
So happy I ordered. In 15 minutes took my Savage Axis 350 legend from roughly 6lb trigger pull to a nice smooth 3.3lb. Now my favorite gun to carry!
My axis had a 7 pound plus trigger per my gauge that was very inconsistent. After installing the kit it came in at a very consistent 1 pound 11 once with the 2-1/2# spring. A little bit lighter than I expected but very smooth and easily passed bounce test. Didn’t need the shims on my gun but was nice to have them available and not have to order separately.
Stopped using my Savage Axis awhile ago due to the crap trigger it came with. Saw a video online and tried this kit out. Really easy to install and delivered the goods as promised. Trigger is very light; I now look forward to using this gun!
This kit coupled with some polishing of the sear and trigger dramatically improved the trigger. I would have liked to have a few more shims of varying sizes with the kit to further reduce the side to side play that still seems excessive even with the included shims.
Savage Axis XP 6.5 Shot w factory trigger and changed to 2.5lb trigger. What a difference it made w my accuracy. Installation was simple even for someone that has never attempted anything like this before.
The installation is very simple if you follow the video step by step. I really like how you can adjust your overtravel if you'd like as well as the HUGE reduction in trigger pull weight. I improved my groupings overnight! If you are on the fence about whether or not to buy this kit, just do it. You wont regret it.

I originally bought my first trigger kit for my Axis .350 Legend and I must say it reduced the trigger pull to about 2 1/2 to 2 lbs.. So I bought another two kits for a Axis .270 I just bout and soon to get a .308.. These trigger up grade kits are worth it for Savage Axis rifles. Great job MCarbo for making these upgrade kits👍🏽👍🏽
Stock Savage Axis had 7.5-8lb trigger ... after installation of 3.5 spring ... was 3.5 lb's Only thing to improve the kit might be to include a replacement trigger c-clip in case you lose the little guy when you pull it off ... It seems to want to get lost ...
I used a Wheeler Engineering Trigger Pull Gauge before I installed the AXIS trigger upgrade pro kit . I was reading a 7.2 pound pull. After installing your pro kit the pull was decreased to 1lb, 14oz. I also buffed the trigger parts to make it a smoother pull. I also installed the two washers and there is no more wobble. This is way better than the accu-trigger. Thanks MC*CARBO.
