Once the kit arrived I installed it right away and it dropped my trigger pull from over 6 lbs. to around 3.5 lbs. Well worth the wait.
This kit did so well with my .308 that when I picked up a new Axis last week, my First thought was this kit to upgrade the trigger. This kit with a little polishing of the sear makes the Axis trigger useable. The kit addresses slop and overtravel well. Pricepoint is good. Hard to justify a $150 trigger assembly on a $175 rifle, but $20 is a no brainer.
First, my order was shipped quickly with great communications from MCARBO staff. The kit went in easily; only took about 15 minutes to install once I had the barreled action removed from the stock which was a simple process in itself. Once installed the trigger pull dropped from 6 lbs to 3 lbs 4 oz according to trigger pull gauge. It's a well-spent $20 if you have a Savage Axis rifle.
This kit is the best $20 you can spend. Turns your cheap axis into an elite machine. I didn’t measure the pull before and after. But I suspect it went from 5 lbs to 2 lbs and reduced creep and overtravel to negligible. Thanks MCarbo!
It worked great reduced trigger pull by half at least great fast honest service. Will use them from now on better then Amazon again thanks
I just finished the trigger upgrade on my .243. Nothing short of AMAZING. I used the 2.5 pound spring and it is TOTALLY AMAZING. This is my 3rd spring kit. I have installed them in a TC Compass in a 6.5 Creedmoor & .308. All 3 rifles have AMAZING triggers now I highly recommend these on any rifle with a heavy trigger pull. Video for installation is Spot On. I f I can do it anyone can do it. Thanks again for a Simple Wonderful product.

Great trigger kit for the money cant beat it. After installing the 2.5 lb spring in my 22-250 and using it i had to get another for my 6.5. Couldnt be any happier with the trigger pull very light and crisp makes for your shots being more precise and accurate compared to factory
If you want a inexpensive way to upgrade your axis, install this pro trigger kit. You will be totally satisfied. I love my axis, but the 7lb trigger pull sucks. Dont be the, i dont mind it guy, spend some money, install this Mcarbo pro trigger kit, and add a couple hundred bucks of value to your rifle. The only fault of the axis is the trigger, this will fix it. I had to re zero my scope because of the performance of this kit. It turned my axis into a sub moa rifle in 20 minutes. Thanks Mcarbo!
Your savage axis pro trigger kit worked better than I was expected. Factory trigger measured 5.75 to 6.25 pounds. I used the 2.5 trigger spring. It broke a crisp 2.0 lbs consistently with no creep. I’m very satisfied. I don’t leave reviews but in this case I had no choice but to leave one.

Easy to install took all the side to side slop out of trigger factory trigger broke at 6.3 lbs after spring kit breaks at 3.2 lbs
I bought 3 Savage Axis Pro Trigger Kits. I put them in a 223,243.and 6.5. Before I installed them the trigger pull was between 5 1/2, and 6 now the average is between 3 1/2 and 4 . Great product, easy install. 5.9 to 4.2 on trigger pull....shims removed lateral slop of trigger. Would highly recommend.
