I had reduced my trigger pull by modifying the OEM spring, but this kit does it the correct way and also with the shims takes out the side to side trigger movement. Worked very well.
I had been thinking about buying a whole new trigger for my .308 axis. I did not hunt with this gun anymore because of the factory trigger. I am so glad that I purchased this mod kit. It made a big difference. Thank you MCarbo.

This kit it super simple to install and what a difference it makes on the trigger pull. I installed to 2.5lb spring and on the scale it’s reading an average of 2.55lbs couldn’t ask for a better product. Keep up the good work. ??????????

The kit came in a timely fashion. All the parts were there and it was a quick simple swap out. I just got the my savage axis II and it appears they’ve updated a few things since the instillation video was made, like the trigger guard, but it was still a straightforward install. Keep up the good work.
I ordered a Savage Axis Pro Trigger Kit from Mcarbo. Delivery was quick, and the packaging was very adequate. Installation was easy, and the instructions were also easy to understand. The installation video was also very helpful. The results, are the reason why I'm writing this review! The Savage Axis factory trigger pull averaged @ 6 lbs. 2 ounces, taken with a Lyman digital trigger pull gauge, 10 pull average. After the installation, the AVERAGE 10 pull reading was 2 lbs. 7.1 ounces! THAT'S A 2/3RDS REDUCTION IN TRIGGER PULL! Those results are simply AMAZING! I cannot wait to get to the range! I applaude MCARBO for their products for the rifle enthusiast. I will definitely look forward to using more of their products. Thank you, MCARBO!
I bought a cheap Savage Axis in 6.5 Creedmoor. Adding this trigger kit great increased the smoothness and reduced the pull of the stock trigger. This trigger kit, a Boyds stock, and some decent optics transformed this rifle into a tack-driver. I strongly recommend.
Put the trigger spring and washers in and it worked great. Trigger is a lot lighter than it was.
Was ez enough much improved pull and took all the slop out of side to side movements

This was by far the best upgrade I've done to my Savage Axis. The trigger pull is so smooth and making that side to side play disappear was great.
Found this product on you tube through their installation video. I saw how simple it was and couldn't wait to try it. It has made my trigger light and crisp, with zero detectable over travel. My savage rifle has gone from my most hated rifle to one that I can't wait to use. GOOD JOB GUYS!
Worked great. Watched video one time. Started video again and hit pause as needed. Done in 20 minutes. Don’t know how many pounds the pull is now but it went from being ridiculously hard to pull to a very light trigger pull. VERY PLEASED !!!. easy fix.
