Had a friend bring in his Savage 308 hunting rifle and wanting a lighter trigger pull rather than the 7 pound pull from the factory. This item did the trick and he is now much happier with it. Simple to install and easy to follow with the short video provided by M*Carbo.
My 223 savage axis trigger averaged 3.5-4lbs (wheeler engineering trigger pull gauge). This kit reduced it to a consistent 2.5lbs! The first round caught me almost off guard. My axis was already a tack driver but what this kit did for me was minimize my having to concentrate so much on trigger pull. And installation was easy easy easy!
After buying and installing the first Savage Axis trigger kit, I sighted in and could not believe the difference. My groups went from moa to sub moa instantly. The kit is top quality and better than described. As of this writting I have bought and installed 2 trigger kits. Stupid easy (The step by step video makes it impossible to mess up) and takes about 8 minutes. My rifle triggers are now zero take up and break crisp and clean.
The spring kit for the Savage Axis is literally daylight and dark difference from the factory spring. The original trigger was very stiff and you would find yourself pulling off target just to fire the rifle. I only installed the 3.5 lb spring and and WOW !!!! Clean crisp and smooth trigger pull and with the shims installed it feels better than drop in triggers. Thanks!!!!
five minutes after receiving my order I had what seemed like a new gun . My Axis now has one of the best triggers I own . I will be looking at my safes to see what else you can improve for me .
This Savage Axis Pro Trigger kit is everything advertised and then some. I bought a Savage Axis in.243 for my daughter this year and the trigger pull was just awful. Installed the pro trigger kit and the results are amazing. Installation was easy with directional video walking you right through step by step. Definitely quality components and the results are beyond what I had expected. Thank You MCARBO
Kit came with the perfect parts for the job, and the detailed instructional video made the install easy. Very pleased with the outcome!
This new trigger spring was very easy to install. The kit came with 2.5 oz and 3.5 oz spring. I like that you have the option to choose which trigger weight is right for you. I opted to put in the 2.5 oz trigger spring and the difference is night and day compared with the stock spring. The kit also includes shims to counteract the trigger wobble which works perfect. This trigger kit is a must have and will definitely upgrade your Savage Axis, I highly recommend it. The installation videos provided on the site or so detailed and informative. I really enjoyed learning and felt very confident through the whole process. 5 out of 5 stars
This kit did wonders for a value based rifle and made so much more sense to me than buying parts over $100 for it. Has a nice crisp feel now and like the 2.5lbs spring weight.
I was already able to get 1moa accuracy out of my Axis .308 even with the very stiff factory trigger , this kit made a vast improvement , very simple install, can't wait to see if I can shrink my groups even smaller now that I don't have to fight the trigger.
I installed the Pro Kit in a new Savage Axis XP and it took just a few minutes following the video. It was a very simple process and greatly improved the trigger. The trigger pull on my rifle was reduced from 4-1/2 pounds with the stock trigger to just under 2 pounds. The shims completely eliminated the side play as well. I am very pleased with the quality of the parts, the fast shipment, and the excellent results.
The kit was of very good quality. The instructional video was very good. My Savage Axis 30/06 was just under 7 lbs pull after installing it was just under 4 lbs.
Everything was straight forward and I got the results I wanted plus some. Im 110% happy with the product. Great product
This spring kit is everything anyone could expect and easy to install. My old trigger gauge shows slightly under three and one half pounds of pressure to release the sear. Very smooth trigger now. One way I would differ from the instructions is to use a wooden round tooth pick as a slave pin instead of an hex wrench, then after having tooth pick through parts cut off about an inch of the tooth pick to present a larger surface to line the parts up with and have a larger surface to push against with the trigger pin.
This needs to be in all rifles
My biggest complaint when I got rifle was the insane trigger pull. Now it's how it should be. I chose to use the 2.5lb spring.
