Installed the 2.5 lb spring, and it is VERY light, but still is drop-safe. If you take the time to ensure the over-travel screw is perfectly aligned, there is absolutely no overtravel, just a perfect ~2.75lb glass-break trigger with NO side to side play. Just make sure you lock-tite the overtravel screw!
I would never consider an axis anything more than the cheep firearm that it is. I have .223 .243 and a .308 for tractor, atv and grandchildren training. that in mind I would never buy a stock or expensive trigger to make a more costly, cheep, fun, usable gun. This spring kit is the real deal. helps anyone that shoots the .243. Works so well its entertainment value is unmeasureable. Im ordering two more. wish they had one for the henry longrangers. Im not a review leaving person because no one pats me on the back for doing what i should but the spring kit for a fair price deserves a pat on the back.
shipping was fast, ordered Monday before Thanksgiving and received on Friday. Parts were of good quality, and worked as intended. Trigger pull was 7.2 lbs and with the new spring kit it is now 3.7! Installation was very easy, just as shown in the video.
Ordered my Savage Pro Kit and received it an about a week. Watched the install video then installed it. Super easy. Went from 6.5 lb to 2.4 lb. nice and clean trigger break now.
I ordered the axis pro kit, it was delivered early. Installation was easy with the great instructional video. Trigger now has 3.5 lbs. pull from 6.5 lbs. I was going trade this rifle but now I'm going to keep it. I highly recommend!!!
Installed this kit for a customer. Combined with very little stoning of the sear surfaces, it saved significant cost over a new drop in trigger and was almost as easy and as smooth.
I’m not sure if I just got a weaker spring or what, but I dropped in the 3.5lb spring knowing that there is an 1lb fluctuation but the pull weight it way to light, my Wheeler gauge is showing a consistent 1lb 13oz pull. I know I didn’t mix the springs up with the 2.5 lb one because that is obviously a much thinner wire. Now I’m searching Amazon for something that will get me to right around the 3lb trigger pull I want for my kids guns. I do like the trigger shims though, really takes the play out of the trigger.
This kit is perfect for anyone trying to improve their axis trigger without spending more than the rifle cost. Simple and easy to install kit, but it really works! I couldn't find my pull gauge so measuring the exact difference didn't happen. However, all side to side play is gone. I set the overtravel screw flush like they suggest and it is perfect. I would say realistically that my trigger pull weight was cut in half. All around the small price is WELL worth the investment if you want to make your axis more shootable.
Not sure what the initial trigger pull was before, but it is now definitely lighter. Feels and breaks just like an accu-trigger now. Still has some wobble, but that is definitely reduced also.

I was impressed with what was provided with the kit. I didn’t notice any slop in my trigger but the shims provided definitely take up whatever side to side play there was in the factory trigger. The kit came with a 2.5 and 3.5 lb spring. The 2.5 was way too much of a hair trigger for my liking on such a powerful round so I rested on the 3.5. Make sure to use a medium hold loctite as instructed in the video on M-CARBO website on the set screw as it is not a interference fit and you may have accidental discharge when cycling the bolt if that pin backs out. Needless to say I would definitely to business with these guys again. Their customer service is exemplary.
Received 2 savage axis pro trigger kits. Easy to install. All together took around 15 minutes to install on both my 223 and 308 rifles. What a difference in the trigger pull and I didn’t spend a lot of money.
Purchased, Installed and at Awwe .. went from 5.5lb avg to 3.5lb avg .. the video for installation was spot on... I highly recommend this product ...
