I've been customizing my rifles for about 10 or so years now and I recently purchase the axis trigger pro kit and what a difference it makes! The side to side play is gone and the trigger pull has been reduced by almost half. I prefer a light trigger and it's perfect now.
Installed the mcarbo savage axis trigger kit in my savage axis 350 legend,what a difference,no more crappy trigger,nice clean easy pull.highly recommended for the savage axis
What a difference a spring makes. Honestly I was going to sell this rifle due to the trigger pull but not now. I had an almost constant 7lb trigger now it hovers around 3.6lb to 4lb with almost no wiggle side to side. Great product! If you have an axis don’t hesitate to get this little upgrade you won’t be sorry.
My Savage Axis .223 was a workhorse; but not the 1st choice in the safe with the stock trigger. Now it's among the top of the pride, I can enjoy the accuracy without bitching about the gritty wooden bang switch. Hats off to the team at MCARBO.
I got my goodies early, and installed 2 spring kits...AR15, and the Savage Axis XP rifle .308 (my entry bench/distance). I studied the training videos plenty while I waited for S/H, and plenty b4 hand while I decided to go this route. MCARBO did not disappoint...i put the lightest spring into the bolt action rifle, it was easy as pie! The trigger pull is smooth and crisp, and very much what I wanted. I will tell all my buddies, and family members that this is the place for upgrade parts and such. My Son told me about yall, and a few of his Marine buddies told him...im too happy, no excited is a better word...hurry, get yours NOW!! (I'm not paid to say such things...I just telling the truth) better hurry.
I love the ease of this kit, and you have a choice having the extra spring.
Decided to try this product. Replaced it with the 2.5 lb spring. The trigger breaks easy and there is no play. It actually makes the $250 rifle feel much better. Highly recommend
Bought a trigger pull measurer for this Savage but other guns as well. It measured a consistent 5 1/2 lb pull. Installed this kit with such ease!! Trigger pull is crazy lighter than factory. It now measures 3lbs pull. Thank you!!
Bought two of these kits for my savage axis and my nephew’s savage axis. The video was spot on and the installation took about a minute for each gun. The stock trigger was 7.5 lbs on each gun. My spring took the trigger down to 1.85 lbs and the other gun was 8 lbs for the stock trigger and it was as taken down to 1.95 lbs. I am extremely pleased with the purchase and would highly recommend this for everyone e with this weapon. Purchase was easy and shipping was quick. Thanks for this product.
The rifle shot very well out of the box but its not the most ergonomic and the trigger was horrible. I chose the pro kit with the intention to replace the stock at somepoint. The instilation was very easy and would be managable for even the least mechanically inclined. Took a little time to get the over travel set right and functional in the stock but the adjusment was easy to do. I have not had a chance to fire the weapon since installation but in dry fire it is an enourmous diffrence. I dont have a trigger scale but its a lot lighter. Its more crisp and the lateral play in the trigger is gone. Word to the wise, learn from my mistake. Cover the damm retaining spring clip on the trigger pivot pin when you remove it. It has a range. Thankfully my daughters have good eyes, we found it in the carpwt about six feet away. All in all this is an excellent product. Simple and effective. Very reasonable price for the benefit you get. Installation of Savage Axis pro spring kit was very simple and easy. My Axis 223 trigger works as good or better than the than the Axis Accu trigger I have fired.
$20 to completely re-vamp the trigger on my .308win Savage Axis. What a great deal. Made it much easier to get impacts at 600 yards.
I wish I'd known about this kit when it first became available. This kit is fantastic and easy to install with the help of the video instructions. I loved the accuracy of the Axis .243 I put it on but the trigger pull was 5.5 - 6 lbs. Now the pull is a consistent 3.5 lbs. just like my more expensive rifles.
I used this trigger kit in my son's Savage Axis Compact .243. He was having accuracy issues due to how hard the pull was on the factory trigger. By using this kit it has significantly reduced the trigger pull and corrected his accuracy issues. He's now hitting sub moa at 100 yards at 10 years old. Plus the shim kit really helped the trigger wobble. Excellent kit!
The AXIS Pro trigger kit delivers everything you have read - OUTSTANDING! Installation coudn't be simpler, resulting in nice crisp trigger effort at just under 4#and has definitely improved the accuracy of my Axis in 350Legend. Lookout bambi!
So I had already lightened the trigger pull down to about 4lbs, so I can't really speak for whether the kit worked for that. I installed the entire kit and the trigger pull was pretty much the same weight. Reducing the wobble in the trigger makes a huge difference in the smoothness of the pull.
