WOW! From a 6.5 trigger pull to a 3 pound pull in about 15 minutes. I'm an 83 year old doubter to a true believer. I had trouble sighting scope in because of the hard trigger pull. The kit provided a dramatic change in the feel of the trigger. Crisp, no take up, no overtravel, light. It was easy to install and was well worth the price. However, it didn't improve the accuracy of my Axis. I'm still working on that since there are many other factors that influence accuracy. At least I know now that it is not the trigger thanks to MCarbo.
If you own a Savage Axis you absolutely need to install this. What a difference!!! The stock trigger is terrible. This gives you a nice smooth trigger pull around 4.2lbs. Definitely made me not hate the rifle after I installed it. Very easy to install. The installation video on YouTube is super easy to follow. I highly recommend this upgrade!!
I can't wait to go to the range with the new spring kit installed. If I like it as much as I think I'm going to, I will buy another axis xp and one of these spring kits instead of spending more on the rifle. I was able to install this in my living room with a multitool and show'd my kids how to do it. Thanks!!
I ordered these after shooting a rifle with a lighter trigger pull than my Axis. All I can say is wow. It not only significantly reduces the pull, but makes it feel smooth and crisp. I highly reccomend it and was so impressed I ordered kits for my hunting buddies who have Axis rifles as well so they can upgrade. The video showing installation is spot on and it only took me about 30 minutes to upgrade both my rifles and put my tools away.
I have built many guns, even one from bar stock so i know triggers. Also as a 2 and 3 gun competitor i live for a great trigger and this is a great trigger. I normally do the triggers myself or drop in a trigger assembly but i heard great things about this trigger and its so inexpensive. Well i would have paid 4 times this cost wow what a trigger. It hase just a twitch of uptake then your on it and its like a glass rode breaking its so clean.
Easy to install on the savage axis. Don't mess with the safety screw lol. The factory trigger pull had to be at around 6 to 8 lbs. And SUCKS SO BAD 👎. After the installation of the kit I have a match grade trigger pull with 0 creep. WOW. If I had to guess it's around 1.5 to 2 lbs now. Thanks Mcarbo for offering this kit👍👍👍👍👍

This trigger spring kit made my Savage Axis trigger, which was sloppy and very stiff, a dream trigger. The pull is perfect and the washers took out the side to side slop. Very nice and the install video made it simple and quick.
I watched the video on replacing this even before I got my Axis and it looked easy enough. I bought the Axis as a knock around rifle in 350 Legend that I can also use out in Ohio. The Axis has a crisp but heavier than I'm used to "lawyer trigger". I re-watched the video then went into my gun room and proceeded to install the kit. It took about 15 mins only because I was having trouble aligning the shims and trigger pivot hole for the pin. (My bad). The job should have only taken 5 mins. But wow, the trigger is so sweet and breaks clean at about 2.5 lbs. Thanks MCarbo!
Put this in my Axis 223 and a “new” rifle is born. The spring kit developed a crisp and great feeling 3.5 average trigger pull. The shims provided, eliminated the wobble side to side allowing for consistent straight back pull. So great I ordered another to put in my cousins rifle.
The pro trigger kit worked perfectly. The YouTube video really helped with the easy install. It turned a so so trigger into an acceptable trigger for only 20 bucks. I am glad I didn't have to spent 125.00 for a new trigger. Very happy.
No need for a AccuTrigger. This kit shock my dad and neighbor. A must have kit for the savage axis.
This thing is great. Such an easy fix to my favorite and most sentimental gun. Shot the first deer with this axis .243. Getting into guns I still find it as accurate as any browning bergara or tikka I’ve shot, but damn that factory trigger is toughhhh. $20 fix instead of a $200 trigger group from timney is amazing. Cannot beat a $300 rifle +$20 upgrade brings it to $800 quality to me. This oughta be required for an Axis
I messaged them about whether or not it would work on the youth model savages and they responded within a few hours (it DOES work). Clicked order and it was here in a few days.
