On its own I'm sure there's some minimal recoil drop, combined with the other parts that are sold such as the muzzle brake it really does the job exceptionally well. Helps with reducing the bruising on the shoulder that I had when shooting the stock weapon.
Well worth it, inexpensive and easy to install. Makes a difference M*Carbo keep up the good work.
Helps with the recoil. Would have been easy install But I took advantage of one upgrade or all upgrades same price.
MCARBO is one of those rare companies that actually cares about their customers, listens to their customers, and also puts out a great product. For a few bucks, this recoil buffer will make a noticeable reduction in your perceived recoil. Highly recommended!

Purchased the recoil-less charging handle and butt stock pad. Went through about 200 rounds and didn't notice a significant difference in recoil. The moment I purchased, put this buffer on and went to run some rounds through my sub 2k, the difference was "night and day". Totally get this and don't expect more from the other appliances. Worth the $10.00 - big time!
Super easy install. Haven't fired it since I've added it yet, but I'm sure it'll feel much better than the original unbuffered recoil.
I have not noticed a big change in the felt recoil, but then with a 9mm there is not much. I look forward to the other upgrades I will put in my Sub2k.
I had another recoil pad in the sub 2000 and it was terrible. I could barely pull the charging handle back, so I bought and installed the lifesaver. Wow what a difference. Pulling back the charging handle wasn't a chore anymore and when I fired the sub2000 the recoil was just a tad more then my Mossberg 22lr and a lot less then my AR-15.
I have purchased several items from MCarbo for Sub-2000 and PLR-22. All have been excellent and worked as advertised. For those installing this buffer, you need to fire the weapon a few rounds to seat the buffer and the slide will lock back just fine.
I have the 9mm. Not awful recoil to begin with, but the design of the stock would hurt a bit after several magazines. Just installed the buffer and put 100 rounds through the gun. Pleased to share that I feel no pain. The bolt holds open with ease. Cleaning revealed the buffer shows no wear. I think this buffer is one of the more effective upgrades, along with the trigger spring kit, and stainless feed ramp. I was thinking of making a recoil pad. No longer necessary.
It's so easy to install and the you can tell the difference right away. The Sub2000, especially in 9MM is low recoil, but this helps sight acquisition on follow up shots and makes the weapon more fun to shoot...
I honestly didn't fire the gun before doing a full MCarbo makeover, but the recoil isn't so bad with it installed if that means anything to anyone. It's like a softer AR-15.
This Recoil Buffer does the job. It makes shooting my SUB-2K even more enjoyable. Thank you for another great accessory!
