It helps trim felt recoil. It's cheap. Just go for it.
What a difference in my 40 Cal after installing the Recoil Buffer. Easy to install and it really cut back the recoil on my gun. I can finally enjoy shooting my gun now without shaking the side of my head and shoulder. A must buy if you are having strong blowback issues! Thank you M-Carbo!

I couldn't tell much different. It probably helps limit the shock on the slide.
I installed this on my sub-2000 40 cal and was very easy to install. would I buy it again yes. I just picked up the sub-2000 9mm
To me if you want the most inexpensive way to upgrade the Sub 2000 this is it. Felt recoil was reduced more then I thought. Added this recoil buffer, the muzzle break and recoil charging handle. Worked like a charm. Better groups, less felt recoil, quicker to sight picture on target. To me those three combined are more important then a new trigger. Only thing that worries me was with all three added was worried about proper cycling. Not one malfunction at 500 rounds after upgrades. I bragged about these products to my local gun shop and even let the try it. They were suprised about how well it performed and was going to spread the word.
So soft and smooth! My sub 2000 is nearly complete! This bit just added to the refinement of operation!

I was a bit skeptical but really does work as advertised, we noticed a nice reduction in the "sharpness" of the recoil and it just smooths out the operation allowing your shooting experience to feel more refined.
Great inexpensive addition to smooth recoil
this product really does dampen the felt recoil. however, when it is installed, you cannot lock the bolt on the gun back. there is simply not enough room for the charging handle to slip into the little groove that keeps it locked open.
the sub 2000 without this kicks pretty hard but with it feels almost like a 22 best 10 dollars you can spend on a sub 2000
MCarbo did what Kel Tec should have done by coming up with this recoil buffer. The S2K has no recoil buffer from the factory. This MCarbo unit is simple to install and makes a noticeable difference. Combine this with the Recoiless Charging Handle installed during the same 5 minute field strip, and you are good to go for $40. Well worth the investment.
The Sub2k has so little recoil that everyone buys this (sarcasm) and if you don't you'll end up with a 3" bruise after 100 rounds. Good buy. Sure, if you're comparing to a .308 or 30-06 the Sub2k has little recoil, but then I don't shoot 100+ rounds at a time in those. This with the muzzle break cuts about half the recoil, and after 100 rounds there's no more bruising.
