I didn’t have a chance to shoot a before and after review but I can say that I put this in and then immediately shot a match. So, no failures in a gen 2 (9mm), in match conditions. If it reduced recoil or parts wear, great. I did come out of a 130 rd match with a little blood blistering on my shoulder...just wearing a t-shirt...so, yeah, there’s a little recoil. Also, installation can be performed as a part of routine field maintenance....no big deal.
Noticeable recoil reduction for already manageable recoil. But this eliminates all recoil distractions so you can stay on target. Especially during rapid firing exercises! Good stuff!!
I picked up the envelop @ 1400 MST from the post office, installed the recoil buffer and muzzle break, removed the rubber butt stock recoil pad I had installed to reduce the recoil, and went out to my range. With a 30 rd Pro-Mag M&P joy stick ........ every shot found a target @ 40 yds away. AND ......... I was TOTALLY impressed with the reduction in recoil and holding target with rapid fire. What can I say? Thanks for the upgrades!!!! If Kel-Tec ever decides to add all your aftermarket parts to their original mfg you'll either be richer or poorer. Poorer if they hire the lawyers for patient stuff. in the mean time ..... keep plugin along with listening to what we think needs changing and develop the ideas. Let's see ..... I think this is a ... GREAT ... THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stupid simple to install, and quite effective.
It helps some. For $10, why not. Allows for bolt locking. 30 second install.
I found out the hard way when I went to install it. One of the improvements KT made was to copy Mcarbos idea and include this part. Maybe I should have know but all the videos I watched concentrated on the rotating stock. Later I found one from KT at the Shot Show that showed all the upgrades. Hard to rate how many stars but I will give it 5 as I am still an Mcarbo fan. Stay safe brothers and sisters, Pood
I read in several reviews that it was difficult to notice a difference. I didnt experience that, I notice a huge difference. I have an EoTech mounted on my sub 2000, I shot without the buffer, and then threw it in. Once it was installed, my EoTech stayed on target, and I could notice a reduction in recoil.
1st time out with the recoil buffer noticed immediate different in a way the weapon fires and the reduced re coil outstanding product would recommend to anybody who has a KAL Tek sub 2000.
Upgraded to the recoilless charging handle, the recoil buffer, tube cover, and taller rear sight, and my sub2000 is now a fund and soft shooter. Without these, my shoulder and cheek were getting sore every time I shot the thing. Perfect upgrades!
Good idea to incorporate this into the bolt/stock assembly. Been working on many firearms throughout history; only makes sense to apply it to this one. Good Job MCARBO!

Finally got around to installing the buffer in my Sub2K. Does not completely cancel out felt recoil but certainly reduces it a noticeable amount. Thanks for another great product M*Carbo... Five stars and two thumbs up!
If you have the Recoilless Charging handle..your sub 2000 needs this as well. They work hand & hand...once again M*Carbo has not disappointed
I added this to my Sub with the bolt tube cover and the skeletonized charging handle. Must haves for your Sub!
