M*CARBO states this will reduce felt recoil by 30%. I did not hook up any super scientific equipment to measure the felt recoil. I can not say that it reduces recoil by any specific number. I can say after the first magazine of 25 rounds with this buffer I was a little disappointed. I honestly did not notice any real difference. It was the next several magazines, that is where I noticed it. Yes there is still going to be felt recoil, that is the nature of the beast, but this item definitely reduces it. If you plan on putting several magazines through the Sub 2000 all at once this is definitely worth the price.
In my sub2k .40, this really made a noticeably softer recoil. No problems after 150 rnds. Big improvement
Surprising upgrade. Avertized to reduce recoil about 30%. I believe it's closer to 40%
Good improvement, thanks for the discount.
Worth the money, easy to install, and found less recoil.
Looks like a good idea. Very easy to install. Haven't had a workout at the range yet but will soon.
This part is so awesome, if you own a sub2K and do not have this installed, I don't know what your waiting for. This is a must have add on. Mcarbo picked up the ball that Kel Tec dropped. This should have been installed from the factory day 1. Like Mr. Nelson says it's not a problem caused by a big cartridge but the sub is lacking recoil management from the factory. Pair this with the recoiless charging handle and you will think your shooting a .22LR. Thanks Mcarbo
Fast shipping, I installed this along with the recoiless charging handle. They work. Get them together for best results.
Buffer relieves about 1/3 of recoil. Money well spent.
I am interested to see how this help with recoil and other things. It installed flawlessly which it should have because it just fits over the spring. Both my items came within a few days.
I bought this over a year ago and am happy with it. It does make a slight improvement with recoil, but I combined with a Buttstock Pad which together made a huge difference. For what the recoil buffer is (small piece of rubber) it has surprisingly held up well. Installation in more like 5 seconds rather than 5 minutes. My only regret is that a bought a Buttstock Pad from another website last year which has since broke. I can't wait to order M-Carbo's new Buttstock Pad because I know it will last. They're like what Craftsmen tools were in their prime: High-Quality, American-Made, and Lifetime warranty (however I don't anticipate needing the warranty)
It helps some which is better than nothing.
Installed easy, cuts down on thumping,
Easy to install and the price makes it an easy add on.
No regrets it does help reduce felt recoil!
This seemed to be the best way to reduce the recoil. Was added along with buffer tube cover & new charging handle. Doesn't effect the ability to lock charging handle function at all. Would recommend this to all Sub 2000 owners.
