Easy install within minutes..I figure it will center the recoil spring and not allow it to slam into other parts and extend the life of the Sub.
Easy Drop in installation that does make a difference.
I picked this up at the same time as a tube cover and extended charging handle. Installation of everything took less than 5 minutes. Haven't had the chance to test the buffer at the range, but I'm sure it will work as advertised.
Installed the MCarbo recoil buffer following the installation instructions in the video. Hardest part was removing and replacing the butt stock pin. This is a new Sub2K and the first time I removed the pin so it was a little tight. Tip: keep the muzzle pointed down to prevent bolt assembly from sliding out of the tube.
Installed simply. Recoil reduced. No affect on recharging weapon.
pretty easy and straightforward to put in, going to take it to the range today and test drive it.
Nice product. I like that they have detailed video instructions for all items. Great customer service also.
Very easy to install, less then 2 min. Part fits perfectly and makes a noticeable difference in recoil reduction
Easy to install. I can't tell if it reduces recoil but it has be better on the firearm having the buffer.
Drops right over the recoil spring. Combined with the buttstock pad, tames the recoil down to almost nothing.
A simple to install upgrade. Removed/eliminated a little bit of the twang or noise in the recoil spring tube.
The recoil buffer is easy install, yet highly effective in reducing the felt recoil. The plastic stock can reck havoc on your clavicle and pectoralis major - especially if your thin - yet installing this buffer truly reduces the felt recoil and gives you the ability to make double taps with ease. 200+ rounds of 9mm and no bruised shoulder.
Perfect for extending weapon life.
Went through first mag of .40 S & W without the buffer to set the bar, then another mag with it installed and...gosh, not much difference. But then I put yet another mag through and, no kidding, it just kind of smoothed out. As if the buffer had to seat itself, or I don't know what. But all the rounds after that have been appreciably less jaring to that shoulder pressure point that the S2K so expertly pinpoints and attempts to annihilate. No problem locking the slide either.
This in combination with the recoilless recharging handle and the muzzle break/ compensator on my 40 cal Sub2000 is amazing!! I shot it for the first time today after installation and hardly any felt recoil Is left! It’s magic! Lol! I love this little carbine now! Thanks MCarbo!
On most of my blow back weapons I have added a recoil buffer to limit any potential damage to the weapon from use. I like having something in front of the hard plastic buffer to reduce the impact on parts. I can't tell you if it does reduce the felt recoil by 30% alone as I added a few upgrades all at the same time. What it does is give me peace of mind on safety and reliability of my SUB 2K 9mm.
