Review
I installed the new springs in under 30 minutes. The weight of the pull is noticeably better. Nice and light, but not too light, and crisp. Very pleased.
Tried a few kits for mt T/C 6.65 Creedmoor. This was an easy install with a great result. Followed video, and got a less that 2 lb trigger pull with no creep and a crisp break. Would highly recommend it !!!!!
I was frustrated after reading about this rifles great trigger, only to get one post recall with 5 lbs of stiff bubblegum. So I was happy to find a cheap solution. It works great. The instructions don’t say whether or not to reinstall the trigger nuts. I wrote to ask and got a quick reply that the locktite suffices. Well done. Will shop here in the future.
Installed a pair of these in new Compass rifles this weekend. Used the "Benchrest Only" trigger spring. Both rifles ended up at a dead even 3lb pull. Not quite the 1.5 that I read about, but exactly what I was after in the end. Probably would have been disappointed if I was shooting for that 1.5lbs, but honestly I was wondering what combination I was going to need to get it at 3lbs, and got lucky and the lightweight spring only (no adjustment nuts, just like the install video shows) gave me what I was after. Breaks clean, weight is perfect on a deer rifle. No complaints here.
Promptly received my spring kit order via US Mail. Watched installation video and felt ready to proceed. Kept the Iphone with video loaded for reference during the install. It was pretty easy to do, and now I have a much better trigger on my Compass.
The parts arrived very quickly. I found the spring kit easy to install using the YouTube video as a guide. Not sure if I did something wrong, but using the 2.5 lb. replacement spring only brought the trigger pull to more like 4 lbs. (according to my less than perfect Wheeler trigger scale). I put in the 1.5 lb. rated spring and it's now more like 2.5 - 3 lbs. This seems about right to me for a hunting rifle. I would recommend this spring kit to anyone wanting to lighten up the factory trigger on this type gun.
Nice and easy to change it, and the trigger point feels very good, thank from Denmark
I installed the Bench Rest Trigger Springs in my new Compass before I first shot it. The video is a really good guide. I had one question regarding the use of Loctite so I phoned the company. A young lady answered and she checked with Chris giving me a very specific answer. How many times does your simple question's answer come from the company President? The trigger pull is great. After some shooting to get settled in, I shot 4 sub-MOA groups in a row.
This was an easy install following the MCarbo YouTube video. Reduced pull from 5.5 to 2.0 and then tweeked to 2.5. having all the recommended tools is highly encouraged. Install took about 45 minutes working slowly and carefully.
Very easy to install results were awesome
This kit was a breeze to install and improved the trigger pull from a D- to A+. I don't have a trigger pull gauge but a do know a good pull when I feel it.......this kit greatly improved the "shoot ability" of this rifle!
I took my trigger pull on a T/C Compass .308 from 5lb 3oz to 3lb 9oz with this kit, the install was super easy, good instructions in the YouTube video.
I got 2 of these for my 308 and 30-06. There is no creep and there is just a clean crisp break. I don't have a trigger pull gauge, but I can sure feel the difference. My groups are a lot tighter too. The best part was the step by step directions that I could follow and rewind when needed. Camera angles were where I could see what I needed. 100% satisfied. I just ordered my Remington 870 and Glock 17 trigger sets as well. I'm going to polish the living daylights out all my triggers with the polishing set.
I just received my spring kit for my Thompson Center Compass 6.5 Creedmoor yesterday. To be honest, there was a bit of a delay from the expected ship date. The thing is, this was of no fault to MCARBO! Instead, it was the USPS office that didn't hold up their end of the deal! In fact, when I called MCARBO, they were very apologetic and cleared up everything even though they didn't really have to! Now that's saying something about a company when they are more reliable than the United States Postal Service!!!!!!! As for the springs, they installed easy and reduced my trigger pull from about 5 3/4 lbs down to 3 1/2 lbs. I used the hunting spring, and that seems about perfect for me seeing as this is my hunting rifle. The trigger feels awesome now! Going to shoot it tomorrow to make sure everything is the way it should be but so far, I couldn't be happier! And thanks again, MCARBO, for restoring my belief that there are still good people out there to deal with! I will always recommend you!
The OEM trigger pull was too heavy at 5 lbs, even adjusted to the lightest setting. I easily installed the new springs, using the "Hunting" return spring, and greased the trigger/sear with Super Lube (also from M*CARBO). The trigger is now smooth, crisp, and light. Pull is now 2.5 lbs with 1 millimeter of take-up and NO overtravel. Perfect! (Tip: Be sure to watch the installation video before and during installation)
Amazing product for the money does exactly what it advertised. It shipped out within 6 hours of me ordering. Very impressed with everything.
