Okay you guys stop it. Stop making my guns more fun to shoot with all your stuff. You are costing me a lot in ammo :o). This kit installed in about 20 mike’s and took the trigger down to .80kgs (around 1.75 pounds). The trigger was fairly crisp before but now it rock. Took to range (even in snow storm, welcome to spring in the great white north) and this riffle which I was considering selling is going to stay with its brothers & sisters. Nice job! Still waiting on trigger guard for a Marlin 795… just sayin.
Thompson Center Compass trigger springs kit arrived fast. I found a YouTube video from MCarbo that made installation fairly easy, even for a mildly-mechanical beginner like me. Once re-assembled, function and safety checked, the T/C Compass trigger pull was very much improved.
Improved trigger, as described. Very easy to install with assistance of their instructional video on YouTube. If I buy another Compass, this will be the first upgrade.
I installed my spring kit today on my T/C Compass in 6.5 Creedmoor. I used the printed instructions, as I can't get a signal in my workshop (metal building/metal roof). It took me a maximum of ten minutes to install. I have never seen a trigger design like the one used in the Compass, so that added to my stress slightly. The stock trigger was 5.0 pounds average for five pulls, and did not feel nice. After the install, the average was 3 pounds, 1.5 ounces. This was measured with a Lyman digital trigger pull gauge. The trigger felt much better after installing the new springs and adjusting the overtravel setting. I believe the trigger pull and feel will improve with use, as this rifle is new and unfired.
Okay so with a lot of these trigger upgrades you really don't think it's gonna make that much of a difference Man this does. I don't have a trigger pull gauge but I have had a lot of experience with trigger upgrades and I could say that I'm probably about where you are in that video at about 1.4 to maybe 1.5!! Also just wanna give you guys a 5 star review on your video for the installation it's top notch and easy To understand the only thing I would suggest on future videos speak a little slower lol 😆 💯%👍
My rifle went from a very poor trigger to a sweet 1.5 lb trigger. If you haven’t upgraded your trigger, do it now. The video is super easy to follow. Thank you very much.

the spring kit along with polishing all the contact surfaces (not the sear) made a HUGE difference ! breaks between 2.5 and 3 lbs smooth and pretty crisp. still doesn't feel like a timney but for the price/performance difference its not worth spending the money for the timney

I got the TC Compass kit installed on my boys new 6.5 creedmore. It brought it down from a very stiff and gritty 5.8 pound pull to a very crisp and clean 3 pound pull! Also got your upgrade our new Ruger American rifles mine at a very crisp 2.5 and my other son's rifle to 3 pounds even, with the adjustment screw. 3 new rifles all in 6.5 creedmore loving the rifles with upgraded triggers! I received the kit, a bit late thanks to Corona. Well worth the wait install went easy used the bench spring for hunting. Dropped it 12" a few times on fire and nothing. Went out for a hog. Yes cooler is full. Shooting 30-06 180 grain fusion. Very pleased.
This spring kit did the job and gave the perfect trigger pull for a hunting rifle. Tried another spring from a gunsmith and it did reduce the pull a little. Not nearly enough though. The MCarbo kit was worth the price. Gave a super nice 2lb pull (Guess). You will be happy with this kit. Transformed my TC Compass into a very enjoyable .308 rifle.
Thompson center compass spring kit. I ordered this for my 6.5 creedmoor and wow what difference!!! I also have 204 and after installed I compared the two trigger pulls. 6.5 my 12 yr it of son even felt better trigger pull. I be order two more. Thank you
Found the installation instructions on Youtube; seemed too good to be true. I received my orders (I bought kits for all my rifles). They arrived in 2 days, as promised. Installed quickly and easily. The next day at the range and my groups improved by an average of 1/4 MOA. My budget builds now feel strikingly similar to my high dollar builds. I will continually check M*CARBO for any new accessories for any of my firearms.
The spring kit was easy to install following the video instructions. No surprises except a great reduced trigger pull. 7# down to a crisp 3.5#. Wow what a difference from the factory setting. Fast delivery from MCARBO.
