Changed my TC Compass into a whole new rifle. I couldn't get the factory trigger any lower than 6lbs but after installing the "hunting" spring, it's down to 3.5lbs. Exactly where I like my hunting rifles. I highly recommend this kit. You won't be disappointed and shipping was super fast. Two thumbs up!
I hated my trigger it was awful, I don't have a way to measure actual trigger pull but before it was at least 8lbs, and after installing the springs it feels like my 10/22 that has the Ruger upgraded trigger assembly and that's a 2.5lb trigger. I can't wait to go shoot. I did perform a 6" drop test and passed no problem. Extra extra bonus it came with 2 main springs one for hunting and one for bench shooting.
First time out shooting this rifle I found myself pulling shots because of how heavy the trigger was (I broke my trigger finger years ago and have limited movement and strength so some firearms are difficult for me to shoot with heavy/long trigger pulls). I adjusted the trigger as low as it would go and was still maxing out my trigger pull gauge, which is 4.5 lbs. Went to the web looking for ideas and came across this product. Read through the reviews and decided to give it a try. The product arrived within just a few days but I was in the middle of moving so I had to wait a while to install the kit. Finally installed the kit yesterday. First I tried the hunting spring, brought it down to 4 lbs, still not as light as I would like so I tried the bench rest spring. That took it down to 2.5 lbs, much better. The trigger feels much better now although I have not had a chance to shoot the rifle again. I still feel like this was a good purchase and am pleased with it.
I’m a guy who likes to test his range while shooting. The factory pull just was a little too heavy to shoot as consistent as I normally do. Bought this product which was shipped in a timely manner. Once arrived I followed the videos instructions and easily changed out the springs. Pull weight is way better now, and cannot wait to test at longer ranges. The swap was on a 6.5 Creedmoor.
The trigger spring kit was easy to install and resulted in clean and definite reduction in trigger pull. A great product with awesome follow up.
I ordered the MCarbo spring kit for TC Compass .223 rifle. The trigger pull weight prior to the addition of the kit was a little over 3.5 lbs with the factory springs at their lowest setting. I wasn't unhappy with that pull weight but was very curious how much better it would/could be with this spring kit. After installing the springs (I went with the Bench Rest main trigger spring) let me say my only regret is I didn't do this sooner. This upgrade resulted in a trigger pull between 1.15 and 1.25 lbs (using the Wheeler digital trigger pull gauge). The installation video was very helpful and simple. Thanks to the MCarbo team. Highly recommended.
Everything was received in a timely manner and in good condition. The trigger kit for my TC Compass 6.5 creedmor was a simple install has made a remarkable improvement of my Compass rifle. What was once a 6+ lb trigger pull is now a tad under 2lb and passes my bump test!! Thank you for your product and exemplary customer service. Cheers, Roger
I bought my son a Compass in .243 and the factory trigger was less than stellar. I ordered the spring kit and installed the Mcarbo spring easily thanks to the excellent video. Great job brothers!
