Got the spring, easy install. Do yourself a favor, while you have the trigger group out go ahead and clean up the rough spots and lightly polish the parts that move together. It will take away the gritty feel of the trigger and make it feel even lighter once the spring is installed.
I really like the feel of the trigger now, much better. EZ change, I'm looking to buy a KSG next and use your parts and upgrades on it. Thanks for your great service, I'll be back!
Bought this in 1982.. alot of years with heavy trigger.. what a difference.. but I still like the mini better than my AR 15's. .
So for a while now I've wanted to put some upgrades into my mini 14. Triggers are something I love to play with and get good smooth action from. Ordering the new spring was very easy and it shippedfast. Within 4 days I had the spring in the mailbox and put in my rifle. The installation is very easy, took less than 5 minutes to complete and already I feel a difference in weight. Dropping trigger pull down from 5.5 lbs to 3.87 lbs is outstanding. Great product, and great quality, as well as good feedback since the CEO has emailed me saying "thank you for the purchase and hope it works well in your rifle." The part was easy to install - the installation video is excellent. I just followed along. I also made sure that there were no burrs on the hammer and sear and lightly lubricated the parts. The result is a lighter and smoother trigger pull.
I bought a new Ruger Mini 14. The trigger pull was to heavy for me and it had a gritty feel. I have used various firearms for over 60 years and I like a clean breaking trigger that happens when I do everything right. The Mcarbo kit helped a lot. I used their video and instructions. The video helped a lot because I could see how the parts were removed and put back and what was the technique to do both. The spring kit did a lot to make the mini 14 much easier to use and improved my shot patterns because the trigger was smoother, lighter and more predictable. The mini is good to go now.
