The install was simple. It reduced my trigger pull from a consistent 4.5 lbs to 3.0 lbs. I was hoping for 2-2.5 lbs. To be fair I bought this rifle used and could not adjust it to less than 4.5 lbs before the new spring.
Install was easy I adjusted my Ruger American Predator down to two pounds and tried her out, it is like Sweet Butter Beans Now, you will not be disappointed....

I got your upgrade for our 2 new Ruger American rifles mine at a very crisp 2.5 and my other son's rifle to 3 pounds even, with the adjustment screw. 2 new rifles all in 6.5 creedmore loving the rifles with upgraded triggers! As usual this item is a perfect fit and the install was a simple process. The video for this Chis does is fantastic and to the point. Trigger pull is a bit smoother and definitely lighter. Perfect for those wild hogs here in Texas! I have a different kit from them on a Savage Axis and that too is a great improvement. These rifles are for hunting and the smoothness helps in getting that good shot off.
I have to say, I was a little bit incredulous that a simple spring would actually improve the trigger on my Ruger American. It was a decent trigger before, but a bit on the heavy side. When I dropped the "spring kit"--actually a single spring--into the trigger and pulled it for the first time, I was blown away. I'm a huge fan of Trigger Tech triggers and own several (at a cost of $250+), and this $12.95 spring brings my factory American trigger up to what I'd say is 90% of my Trigger Tech. I'm extremely impressed and highly recommend this. It's $13...easily the highest value upgrade I've ever done. And I've done a TON of them to various guns over the years.
The spring works great! Four stars as the spring unfortunately does not fit through the set screw hole. This makes the install a PITA. I’m assuming that it’s the difference between the American and Precision trigger groups.
Spring was an amazing difference with a 1.5-3.5lb trigger pull very simple installation just cover the C clip with your finger so it don’t go flying. This is a better option in my opinion then an aftermarket trigger that delivers the same results.
The spring was really simple to install, it only took about 5 min. My rifle started with a 2 pound 12 ounce pull and ended with a 1 pound 10 ounce pull. I can feel a little more of the movement with the new spring but I believe that will go away after about 100 to 200 rounds fired Overall I'm very happy with the results for the price and time, yes I definitely recommend thus upgrade.

I installed this kit in a ruger American .22lr. Easy installation-just follow mcarbo’s install video. Functions perfect. My trigger is much lighter now(I don’t have a pull weight gauge). I highly recommend Mcarbo products for whatever you are shooting.
If you have a Ruger American Rifle and you want a better trigger pull, try this first. Easy to install and it improved mine to an acceptable target quality pull weight and over-travel. Be sure to watch the video. For the price what have you got to loose. Consider the price of the alternatives.
Great product with very easy installation. Works perfect on My .17 HMR. Trigger is just under 2 lb and very crisp allowing a much better hold on distant targets. Highly recommended!
I installed these springs on two rifles. They gave me trigger pull that is better than factory. I recommend these.
