What muzzle flip?

Muzzle flip nullified with a proper brake. Gas ported to the sides and on top. Looks aggressive also. Looks and function check.

Wish I hadn't bought it.

The jaws should be longer, even though I tightened the vise (I even used a rubber mallet to tap the vise's handle to tighten it more) the rifle barrel still moved. I did use masking tape on the barrel, but when the barrel moved the tape tore scratching, marring the barrel.

Following the video's instruction when I hand tightened the muzzle brake, it ended up in the 12 o'clock position which meant I had to turn the brake a full 360 degrees. Every time the brake would tighten, I would release pressure on the crush washer and attempt to tighten the brake again as demonstrated in the video. This process didn't seem to help much at all.

When I had about 15 degrees left in order to have the brake in the 12 o'clock position, I couldn't budget the brake anymore, I decided to forget the whole thing and not use the muzzle brake. I removed the muzzle brake, but I wasn't able to remove the crush washer.

I eventually replaced the muzzle brake, added extra masking tape used a vice grip and kept tapping the vise grip with a rubber mallet until the brake moved to the 12 o'clock position.

If the muzzle brake didn't have to move a full 360 degrees, I think it would have been a much easier install.

Would it be possible to supply 2 crush washers? One thicker and another thinner in case the muzzle brake needs to turn a full 360 degrees?

Very noticeable difference in both recoil and muzzle flip. I can't quote a % but you will definitely notice it. Highly recommend with the recoilless charging handle and the butt stock pad. These 3 components together drastically improve the shootability, stability, and comfort. Transforms the Sub 2K into a completely different and improved platform. The only con: So comfortable to shoot now that you'll burn through rounds like a 22 plinkster. HIGHLY RECOMMEND with the above mentioned components. THANK YOU MCARBO!!! I'm a retired Navy Vet and appreciate the quality of your work and the support your business provides to all services. I've spent the same $ on MCARBO components as I did for my Sub 2K and they are worth every penny. You guys ROCK!

The sub 2k is an extremely light gun, as such, it doesn't handle recoil very well. Even though it's only a pistol load, the muzzle flip was very hard to control. I put this break on and it made a world of difference, makes my follow ups quicker and more accurate.

works very well. It kept the muzzle rise down and made double taps WAAAAY easier in the standing. the wrench scratched my iron sight body a little but a snug fit and the locktight holds like a rock.

this accessory is very forgiving on positioning, if you're like me and love things perfectly level, you'll be staring at this thing for hours trying to make it perfect. but it shot like a dream and did end up at the end of the range lol :)

Works, easy to install.

I had to have everything for my Sub2K, so I purchased this.

It was very easy to install and does what it is meant to do, redirects the gasses horizontally and vertically. It lowers the muzzle movement a bit, but don't expect a miraculous zero recoil when you shoot.

Lowering felt recoil and using a brake require a combination of bolt mass, recoil spring weight and tuning/finding the right ammo with enough gas to make the brake be optimally effective.

In the end it works, is easy to install and looks good on the gun. I would also consider buying the brake for other PCCs with the same thread on the barrel.

worth the effort

since i dont have a vise, i had to improvise using a 19mm open wrench and a plumbers wrench. i used an old leather watch strap around the sight lock nut. it actually worked. there is an initial resistance on the crush washer but easy after that. cant wait to try it on the range. since budget is tight and my short stock shooting position, i couldnt use the butt stock pad and tunbe sleeve. THANK YOU FOR SUCH WONDERFUL ECONOMICAL FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENTS!!!

I purchased this muzzle brake for the Kel Tec Sub 2000 a few weeks back to reduce recoil and soften the impact to the cheek given how you have to get down to the bolt tube to acquire your target. It was a great addition allowing me to keep the carbine on target in addition to relief for the cheek when putting more than a few rounds through it.

Given my positive experience with the sub 2000, I purchased a second one for a Hi-Point 995TS that my Sister in-law acquired to help her reduce recoil and keep it on target. A couple of range sessions shows it made a noticeable difference. Well worth the investment.

Worth the money !

i didnt expect this brake to make a dramatic difference in performance of my sub2000. my 9mm plinker didnt kick nasty but i prefer as tame a recoil as possible and minimum muzzle tick. problem solved. this brake is magic.

Wow!!!

Fit and finish are top notch on this muzzle break. If it did nothing, it'd be worth the money just for the improvement in appearance of the firearm. That being said, it does make a noticeable difference when firing. This should be on the rifle from the factory.
