As with EVERYTHING I’ve bought from M-Carbo, the muzzle brake looks great & went on my Sub2K quickly & easily. To be honest, I can’t tell how effective it is because I haven’t had the opportunity to shoot yet! However, I have no doubt that it’ll work as advertised. And it looks pretty cool which isn’t mentioned in their write-up ... which it (perhaps) should! Great job, M-Carbo! Again!!!
I read many reviews and watched the install video for this. I spent the extra $ for the barrel jaws since I didn't want to risk damage. Unfortunately, as others mentioned, the barrel jaws were not at all like the ones in the video. Just a simple block with a V cutout and very small. I ended up going to my local hardware store and buying a safety washer and some Loctite. For $6.39 it was a much better solution then trying to use the crappy barrel jaws and the supplied crush washer. Looks just as good to me and I have had no issues with it working loose.
Easy Install looks and works great
Didn't like the locknut assembly of the muzzle break because there were too few threads at the end of the barrel past the front sight post. Using the locknut would only diminish the number of threads. So I purchased a pack of various thickness shims from Amazon. Mixed and matched the various shims until I could "clock" the muzzle break just right. Put loctite 380 on the threads, tightened the break after wrapping it with tape and it centered perfectly. Very happy with the appearance and performance of this muzzle break. Gets sights back on target easily and I believe it reduces recoil a bit. A side advantage of installing it this way is to get an additional locking mechanism on the front sight post.

the installation was very simple and fast. The video was right about the 4 wraps of tape. The fit was perfect for a 13/16 wrench. Haven't been able to go to the range and see if any reduction in felt recoil. But it looks pretty cool.
Installed everything for my Gen 2 in 40 S&W they offer, except for the new sight, which I just ordered, and she’s a completely different weapon. Barrel climb is almost nonexistent. Complete trigger kit is the bomb. Get all the goodies at once, crack the case once, you’re going to want it all, anyway. The recoil buffer helps. I’m old, I feel everything. Weighted charging handle makes a nice change. Feed ramp... Steel vs. not?!? Tube cover helps with cheek bump. Who better to trust than the guys who had our backs?!? Thanks, MCARBO for these great parts, and for your service that lets us tweak our toys/tools. Can’t wait to see what these guys come up with next. You can bet I’ll be buying it!
Gives my subk2 the finished look it needed, won’t ever come off now as it just improves the looks and controls muzzle flip and recoils.
Pretty sure the 9mm muzzle brake is a good one, as indicated by all the buyers comments on YouTube and other sites, BUT, M-Carbo has left one side of the KelTec Sub2k owners group behind. Those of us who very happily own the .40 Cal version, would also like such a device for our beloved foldable weapon. Please help us, too. There are no similar, matching, muzzle brakes out there, for anything like the price M-Carbo asks for this in 9mm. We truly do feel left out. All the products I've purchased from M-Carbo have been of exceptional quality and I'd be very happy to revise these comments, if only M-Carbo would provide the one additional device for us. First, order the blocks so you don't screw up the gun. Other wise, if you follow the instructions, it is a easy install.
Easy install. Great product...great directions and video.
Ten minutes after receiving my muzzle break. It was on the carbine. Very easy to install after watching the video. Shooting tomorrow.

Makes the Sub2000 look complete ...do not know why KEL-TEC did not sell without one !! Follow the how to video and for sure use the rocksett for the install. Great upgrade for any Sub2000.
Using video made install a snap. Muzzle brake design appears functional. Not sure I can tell a difference in muzzle flip and recoil.
