My SA-20 trigger was 6.5 lbs. The new spring lowered it to 4.5 to 4.7. Much better that sending trigger group in to another Co. and paying $90.
The install took about 10 minutes or less. The install was on a 20 gauge Tristar G2 which my daughter(she is 11) will use as her initial skeet gun, the trigger pull was crisp but a bit heavy at about 7 lbs. The trigger pull is right about 5lbs now and still crisp. Thanks for a great product and an easy to follow video. I look forward to excellent results with the other products I have purchased. Excellent service, and support.
Great product, easy install, great video, much better trigger pull.
This spring delivered a 2lb pull reduction as advertised. Unfortunately mine started out at 7 lbs so it did not get to the 4 lbs I was looking for. Still a noticeable improvement and not the spring's fault that Mossberg let it out the door that way. Will also say that the customer service and communication from MCARBO has been great. The video was a huge help and the response to emailed questions and voicemails has been very fast. I will definitely keep doing business with these folks!
I have the Mossberg SA20 Turkey shotgun & I was looking for a way to lighten the trigger. I stumbled across this one on the MCARBO website & started reading the reviews & watched the video on how to install it. I thought why not, it’s only like 15 bucks, I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be much of a difference. Well I was definitely wrong, I don’t have a way to check the poundage on my trigger pull but anyone who has been around shotguns knows that most are pretty stiff & especially a Mossberg, which is fine for most type of shooting that is done with a shotgun. For a turkey gun I wanted to have a better trigger pull to help with accuracy at longer distances. This is drastically better, I don’t believe it’s a 2.5lb crisp trigger pull like on a rifle but it is way shorter & lighter than before, im guessing it’s no less than 3 & no more than 4. Im basing that off of multiple rifles I have that are 2.5 to 3lbs. It’s is still a little “grainy” but I didn’t polish anything like they talked about & recommended & I know the spring isn’t going to address that issue anyway. I will be polishing it in the future to help take away the grainy feeling & I think that will make this trigger that much better. Either way if your wondering if it’s worth it in my opinion it definitely is. The shipping is extremely fast & the instructional videos are easy to follow if that’s something you need & the product does what they say it does & at the end of the day it’s only 15 bucks for a definite upgrade to your trigger. I love that this is an American owned company & I will be making other purchases from them.
Hard to believe that one little spring can make this much difference! M-Carbo has a winner here!
Very easy to install...much better pull
I don't have a pull gauge, but the spring took the trigger on my Tristar G2 Viper Bronze from unacceptable, hang the gun from the trigger without discharging hard to very good, like it should have been built to start with. Expensive for a little spring, but worth it. You won't get an $18 trigger upgrade anywhere else. BUT-the best part-these people treat you like a true brother would. I hope they are successful, they understand how to treat people.
The spring looked well made. The new spring had less tension than the original part. The installation directions provided was a You tube video. This was great except that the video skipped removing a pin, and another part. I had to fast forward the video to the reassembly portion to understand what required additional disassembly. So far, i installed the spring with the necessary lube and functions well. There is definitely a change in the trigger pull. The original pull weight was closer to 8#, which is on the higher side but the spring brought it down to the 5# range, which is okay but i was looking for more in the low 4# range. I have not taken it to the shooting range for further testing but will do so in a few weeks.
Trigger went from 7+ to 6 pounds, still heavier than I would have liked, but it was not the springs fault. M-Carbo was great spring came quickly and the on line video made the installation a snap. The gun is brand new and the trigger is clean so I hope that with use the pull will settle at a bit lower rate. The shot gun is for my grandkids to use so I don't think there will be a problem as it feels good.
Love how easy it was to install the new spring and it made my Mossberg SA-20 a much smoother shooting shotgun.
The part arrived quickly, good price, installation video was helpful, customer follow up was excellent.
I love this company, all the parts i purchased are for shotguns. The only downside is: NOW I have to buy an AR (don't know how i will explain this to the wife) so i can take full advantage of their services
Amazingly quick delivery, especially for these crazy Covid days! Super easy installation and noticeable reduction in trigger pull effort. Very pleased with this upgrade.
This is my 3rd spring to install. Two SA-20 and one SA-28. Very easy installation process. While the trigger pull is not greatly reduced, it is much better than the factory spring. Worth the money.
I knew about the heavy trigger on my new Mossberg SA-20 before it arrived. I heard good things about the M*Carbo spring to decrease the trigger weight. I admit I hesitated at first to pay for a $12 spring, but it was absolutely worth the cost. The installation went smooth thanks to the installation video and it definitely improved the trigger. I don't think I'll need that gunsmith trigger job after all! If you have the Mossberg SA-20, this spring should be in your gun!
